The scalpel clattered forgotten onto the tray.
His mouth was cool at first, then burning as he kissed her back with centuries of restrained hunger. One hand tangled in her hair, the other splayed across her lower back, pressing her closer. The kiss deepened, turning slow and devouring. Tongues tangled. Teeth grazed. Her fingers curled into his coat, clinging as her knees weakened.
When they finally broke apart, both were breathing raggedly.
Rusty rested his forehead against hers, eyes closed.
“This is dangerous,” he whispered.
