She continued to flip through the magazine as if nothing had happened. But then he exhaled, his voice eerily calm. “What happened two days ago was not part of the plan. Henry’s mother... she was supposed to be gone. I made sure of it. But if Henry’s turned this dangerous, that’s because he knows he has no real claim. He’s desperate.”

“You’re Danger? You’re part of the crew she took down the BloodHunters with?” He laughed. “I guess your mom never did call me by my first name.
