While Alex, Nathan and my mother help Vicky and Tamara. ‘I’ll kill them! Let me kill them!’ I scream. I may have punched my Dad and kicked him along with my brothers. I was so angry and upset that Micah was gone. All I could see were those red eyes in my mind. I wanted the vampires dead, all of them. Kayla is kneeling beside me and pouring a small concoction into my mouth while I’m held down. It tastes terrible, like rotten fish. I try to spit it out, but darkness quickly consumes me.

Closing the door and semi-laying on one of the poof seats, I whip open my laptop, which was in a drawer in one of the bookshelves in the shed. Finally I can take a swing at the source codes that I need to know for this new job coming up, I haven’t been hired yet and I don’t know the full lay out but I need to understand anyway just in case. I also have an overdue encrypted-chat meeting that needs to take place between me and the Scorpion Gang. Original name, I know right. That’s also the gang that might offer me that job about revenge and shit. So, I feel like it’s important. "What have you come up with?" He asked, facing me. "You have to tell the soldiers to lead the people to the pack mansion. Everyone must be inside before I release the Hex." I said to him. “They’re in the walls so I’m not sure how much good this will do, but we’ll give it a shot.” Tyler shrieked as another skeletal rodent sprinted across the floor. “Oh god, what are they?” “Hexes,” Talen told him. “Do you know the witch behind the hex?” He asked as he followed Aislen down the hall. He took a handful of salt and went into the bathroom whilst she laid a line of salt across the window in Tyler’s room.

Whatever this land is, it matters enough to stop them. Whatever it is she’s talking about, it’s clear it’s my only way of escape. “Hex won’t be this far out at this time of day. Even if she gets there, we can still catch her as long as we don’t stray too far in. Start searching; she must be using something to hide her scent. She wasn't that fast.” Hex? A ghoz’aan? I don’t even know if I want to cross over by listening to them. What the hell is a ghoz’aan? Is Hex his name? Who calls their child Hex? What the fuck is a hex?

The road twisted through the woods, eventually leading to a mansion settled among the trees. “Another mansion?” Olivia mumbled under her breath. Victor smirked, clearly hearing her. “This one’s even more secure.” As they approached the house, Victor’s phone rang. He glanced at the screen. “What is it?” Dmitri asked. Victor didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he handed the phone to Dmitri. Olivia caught a glimpse of the screen; an encoded message with a single word: Betrayal. “What does that mean?” Olivia asked, her heart dropping. Victor look her. “It means someone we trust has turned against us.” To be continued...

"So, who is going for Hallel College's reunion?" Kenzy asks ready to hear their opinions. "Am not going. I heard someone died during one of there parties. And they haven't found a lead to what actually happened!" Alexandra says.

Freyge closed his book, a serious look on his face, “That is no ordinary wound on your foot. It is a complex and tricky blood hex. One, that hasn’t been used in centuries.” Dominic and Valencia exchanged glances and then looked at Freyge to come up with more explanation. The omega shrugged, “This is an ancient ritual. The wound doesn’t heal completely and the weapon that gave you that cut wasn’t an ordinary one either. If I may ask, Archon Alpha, who all did you meet yesterday?” Valencia counted on her fingers, “Some stupid hycwens, a stupid diner owner, a stupid alpha”- eyeing Dominic-“and my stupid pack”
