However, there is a small percentage of the population that never lost their true parentage. They know where they really come from, and it isn’t Earth’s perfection. They are called to watch the stars. They can see the differences that the normal humans can’t see. They instinctively know they came from the heavens. They are the ones who call themselves the Seeds of the Stardust.

Kojo joins them and studies the drawing. “This is... the old fishing village. Abandoned for fifty years.” Mira frowns. “Why?” “It dried up overnight. No water, no fish, no people. Just... vanished.” They set out before noon. --- The village is a ghost town. Cracked nets hang like shrouds from hollow huts. Boats sit in dust where there used to be water. Chapter 66 The Village As the village came into sight of the group's formation, a mesmerizing sight greeted their eyes. The gentle glow of bioluminescent siphonophores, floating in the water above the village, cast an ethereal light that enveloped the small, tranquil settlement. The illuminated strands danced and shimmered, creating an enchanting display akin to the aurora borealis, giving the village its own mystical sky on the abyssal plain.

And no one knew what deeper secrets the village might be hiding. The Special Missions Unit had no clear route and couldn't just wander around the village aimlessly. If they did, they'd be easy targets. "Oh, we're here to camp. We read online that you can see the stars clearly from around here." It was true.
