Hidden Away
Almost instantly, she felt a dampness on her skin, his tears flowing down.
"I don't want him to go," He sobbed softly in a broken voice, burying his face into the crook of her neck and clutching onto her so tight, it was almost painful.
She couldn't bring herself to say anything, so instead, she rubbed his back, softly humming a song into his ear which their grandmother used to sing to them a long time ago. She knew the humming was soothing him since his tears had turned into gentle hiccups, his grip loosening on her as his eyes kept fluttering to a close.
