(SHEILA’S POV) With a sudden burst of energy, I swung the door to my humble abode open, the creaking hinges barely audible over the pounding of my heart. With trembling hands, I quickly pulled the door shut behind me, the wood meeting with a soft thud as I slid the locking mechanism into place. The room fell into an eerie silence, the finality of my actions echoing in the stillness around me.

“To what?” Ignoring me, Dad aimed the remote to a nearby wall. “Since it seems secrets are finding themselves out in the light,” Dad said, his voice low, “I need to ensure this one stays buried.” With a soft hum, the wall split into two sliding doors, revealing a hidden keypad. Dad punched a code and a second slid open. He paused to glare at us. “I don’t want your mother to know about this,” he said before walking through.

QuickShot: I step down on a hidden panel in the ground and push a hidden button on the sewer wall. The sewer wall beside me slowly move at first but quickly split apart a few seconds later. With the wall fully open, we quickly walk in. Once in, I pull the lever, and the door shut behind us. In the dark for only a few seconds, I flip the switch and watch as hundreds and hundreds of little lightbulbs, all sting up and along the wall light up, revealing both the hideout and our home; the OutPost.

he grunted. Down a hallway that led away from what seemed to be a massive lounge, Hayden pointed and directed her toward a door with a sensor on it. He placed his thumbprint on it and it popped open. Georgia realized it was a facade with a different door made of thick metal behind it. This door’s dark color and strongroom-style design clashed horribly with the rest of the home’s beautiful look. The facade door didn’t and kept it hidden when closed. Hayden again scanned his print to unlock the second door and it swung open with a loud, metallic ‘clang’. Both doors closed behind them and Georgia heard loud clicks as they locked again.

All he needed and wanted was a miracle and that miracle included Jayda forgiving and accepting him in her life and the baby's life. Talking three steps further into his bedroom, the doorbell rang again. This time, he could tell someone was truly at the door. He ran his fingers through his messy hair, then went to answer the door. He was sure whoever was at his door was related to him. His security wouldn't allow just any person to approach his apartment; especially at this hour of the night. Sebastian's mouth went dry as soon as he came face to face with the last person he thought would be at his door.

He leaned back now, intending to keep his front row seat as Dedrick and Rehida came out onto the porch to greet this spontaneous guest. Kevin heard Clark's response clearly and reached for the third bookshelf in the bedroom. "Clark, something's not right! It won't open!" Kevin conveyed his confusion to Clark via a video call. Clark pointed to a book in front of Kevin and said, "Book." Kevin didn't initially understand why Clark mentioned the book. Nevertheless, he gently moved the book as suggested, and a hidden door, cleverly disguised as a bookshelf, slowly opened. Upon seeing the hidden door, Kevin couldn't help but exclaim in his mind, 'Damn! There really is a secret room!'

“Love being part of a magical escape room.” As we approached the front door, it creaked open on its own, the sound echoing through the still air. The interior was even more unsettling than the outside. The walls were lined with dusty bookshelves, their contents spilling onto the floor. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling, their crystals cracked and dull, while a grand staircase spiraled upward into the shadows. The air was thick, almost syrupy, making every breath feel like a challenge. A faint hum of magic pulsed around us, as though the house itself was alive and waiting.
