A Rhapsody for the Playboy

A Rhapsody for the Playboy

I just stared blankly at the strips of light that’s been trying to bring its brightness into this darker room that I am currently in. At first I was just lying motionless; my eyes were fully transfixed at the cheap chandelier that hung lazily on the ceiling and then back to the blinds. There’s really nothing going on inside my head for a while until a memory suddenly popped up out of nowhere. The tangy memories of my old life back when I still in high school just flashed before my eyes and it was like glass shards stabbing me in the chest. I didn’t want to admit this but I thought I really had a perfect run in high school but the truth is, I did not have a perfect run in high school. I wish

even though it wasn't remotely funny. Ryan smirked, tracing a light finger over my cheek, traveling downward and disappearing into my mouth. “I beg your pardon. High school girls are fun and easy to screw, but they aren't the real deal. They're so full of drama. They're only interested in hot boys, trending parties, and make-up kits. They make you seem like their toy, carrying their bags and tagging along to the mall with them for shopping. No. There's nothing interesting about high school girls. You on the other hand...”

"He was, but yeah. He's going to be all right, I think. I just don't get why those jackasses feel like they have to torture him. We're not in junior high anymore. Nate doesn't bother anyone." She sighed. "Guys like them don't need reasons to act like assholes. Just like all the cheerleaders who're bitchy to-to some of the other girls. My mom calls it stupid high school crap. She told me she'd like to say it ends after graduation, but some people just never grow up." "Great." I groaned, rolling my eyes. "Nice to know I have more of the same shit to look forward to, huh?" "Guess so." She lifted her hands from mine and crossed her arms over her chest. "God, it's cold, isn't it? I'd better get h

I loved this book, it touched me deeply. Beautifully written, characters & situations are well described and the story gave meaning to deep feelings that arrise from difficult situations many people face in their lives. I would certainly read more books by this author.

Such a great book! Hands down one of the best I’ve read on here to date. I went through all the emotions reading Mia and Leo’s story…I laughed, cried and got mad at some point through their journey of friendship, love and growth. Definitely give this book a read!

Teen Drama

Teen Drama

Eyes on us – prying, gossiping. The one thing I hate about high school is the non-original behavior and cliché groups of kids like this who flock to a handsome face and good body and treat him them a superstar for winning the gene lottery. It’s sad that even in 2022, we still value people on how good-looking they are.

My Sister's Boyfriend: A Bully Romance

My Sister's Boyfriend: A Bully Romance

Oh god, no. Without waiting a moment longer, she began to read. ‘High school has a set of rules. No, I’m not talking about the ones imposed by the principal and teachers, I’m talking about the ones set by students themselves. Rules which seem to have been passed down from generation to generation. These rules are how we define the hierarchy of the entire school. Valley High has the most cliché hierarchy of them all. The social elite are made up of the football team and cheerleading squad. Our Queen? Savannah Miller. Every girl wants to be her, and every guy wants to date her. But what is life really like for high school royalty? First of all, it seems Miss Miller doesn’t have the natural sle

Model Perfect

Model Perfect

I just need to make this one last year with them to pay for my college fund or my gap year fund, whichever comes first. The first day of senior here has arrived—another year of high school and another popular year. Sometimes I like being popular. It means I always have friends and always have a conversation in the halls. But sometimes it's lonely. My discussions are intense; I'd call them shallow. But that's how people see me, the shallow girl, the model girl. If only people could see me a little deeper, know me a little better.

My Mate's Wedding Drama

My Mate's Wedding Drama

Surely what happened with the shrimp and at her apartment has to be based on more than a teenage crush. “Candy… I mean Paige… I appreciate your story, but we were all stupid in high school. Lots of girls have crushes and act the way you are describing. How does any of this lead to your underwear being shredded and the word ‘slut’ being written on your windows?” She sighed and looked down again. “I haven’t gotten to the worst part.” “Ok….”

I love this book! Is there really going to be a book 2? Its been awhile so wasn’t sure if you changed your mind. I will love to get some more answers to what was left unsaid! All this author’s books so far have been amazing.

Chapters 1-60 are book 1 which I finished. It is a cute short story with an array of misunderstandings but with a cute ending. The characters are interesting and it wasn't overly frustrating to read as one would expect. Well written. Reading book 2 now

The Whispers of my heart

The Whispers of my heart

High school was supposed to be a fresh start. That’s what everyone said. A time to grow out of childhood, make new friends, find your place in the world. But for Sophia Thomas, high school only made one thing painfully clear: She wasn’t growing out of Daniel Harper. If anything, she was falling deeper. The first day of sophomore year felt like walking into a war zone — lockers slamming, students shouting across hallways, backpacks thudding against shoulders like they were weapons.

Pride and Promises

Pride and Promises

"Oh, please! I'm nothing like those sickly annoying clichés the teenagers fawn about. Tell me one thing that's cliché about me, I dare you." I smirked at him. "Hmm... let's see." I thought for a while and made a show of counting my fingers as I started listing out. "For one, you're that clichéd youngest billionaire, the most eligible bachelor." I made finger quotation gesture at that. "And oh, how can I forget the arrogant, rude, ruthless, cold, stone-hearted, cru-"
