Garran climbed to his feet and offered me a hand. I took it. His grip was rough and cold. When I stood, I brushed mud from my cloak and checked the satchel. Challenge papers still dry. Thank whatever gods had not fully abandoned paperwork. Garran looked at the road above us. “Where are we?” I pulled the rough map from my cloak and unfolded it carefully. Ben had drawn it from memory. Which meant it contained useful roads, dangerous roads, and one corner labeled old widow with mean geese. I pointed north.

To think she could try to find the coven with just that bloodied fabric. Suddenly it dropped down onto a spot. I frowned, leaning closer to get a look at the map. “They are hiding in the Middleton Hills. Do you know it?” Jesse huffed. “It’s about three fours from where we live. Do you know where in the Hiddleson Hills?”

I smiled, he was really a calm person to be around. “Alright. About the leaves,” he clapped his hands together, getting back to the matter at hand. He reached into his pocket, drawing out a little scroll-like parchment out of it and then handing it over to me. “This is the map for it. If you follow it properly and carefully, it will lead you to the leaves.” I opened up the map and found the route from the pack house, leading to the leaves, which was indicated with a small red "X", like a pirate map, with hidden treasure in it, only this time, it was leaves.

He heaved a deep sigh and could hardly catch his breath. His gaze was drawn to the map, which depicted a hexagonal plot of land with a river running through it. "When you arrive in the Mors forest, there are three lanes that you can walk or run through. Senta is the middle lane, Shita is the eastern or bottom lane where poisonous plants live, and Appu is the western or top lane where wild animals live."

We've lived on the edge of the park my whole life, and I used to know it like the back of my hand. Since the accident, I haven't visited even once. After I've been riding for almost half an hour, I hop off my rusty old BMX and pull Felix's note out of my pocket. Unfolding it, I study it for the hundredth time. I still can't believe he drew me a map. Two lines intersect at a 45-degree angle. One is labeled 'Wildwood', the other, 'Chestnut'. There's a big X where they meet. And at the bottom of the map, in an elegant scrawl which I immediately recognize as Felix's handwriting, are the words 'Look up and follow the silver fox.'

I closed my eyes and pressed both palms against the map, feeling the heat of the candles, the pulse of magic under my skin. The herbs began to swirl, slowly at first, then faster, as if caught in an invisible breeze. The map shimmered faintly, and the candle flames leaned eastward, all at once. I opened my eyes just in time to see the crushed herbs lift into the air and hover over a spot on the map, a bar on the south side of Mercia. “Hello, Maria,” I whispered.

She walked towards the curtain and saw a small piece of paper hidden behind the curtain that was tucked into the window frame. She dragged the paper out after much effort because it was stuck there for long, after successfully taking it out, Amren dusted the dirt on the brown paper and gently opened it as she walked back to the bed, she wondered what was in there as she slowly open the scroll and saw that it was a map. “Here it is!” I turn on the overhead light and unfold the map, looking over it. I see the town line of Hamlet outlined in magenta. I see the blue lines that are meant to be roads coming in and out of town. I see groups of trees clustered in what signifies woods. I spot something interesting. There are groups of woods spread in what makes a circle surrounding the town.

I still felt like a ghost of my former self. I packed my belongings into my travel bag slowly. There was no reason to rush. Once my tent was packed away and my bag was slung over my shoulder, I pulled my map from my pocket. It was a normal enough map at first glance. There were no marking of any kind on it, which made it seem like I had just picked it up from a town. “Reveal to me the route I seek,” I whispered softly. At the sound of my spell, the map shone faintly and a series of paths were illuminated along with symbols denoting the location of hidden witch towns. I smiled at the map. This spell was so simple, but it did so much to keep our people safe.

"How does that sound?" He looked up from his meal to watch Tink practically inhale the rest of her food. The goblin threw herself out of her seat, running around the corner of the kitchen, and down the stairs to the vault. Seeing no need to rush, he took his time eating. She soon appeared with a map in her hands, which she unrolled on the table. "Is that a map of the labyrinth?" Mike asked, staring at the odd symbols that covered the old parchment. "Most of it. Some places unchartable. Tink find map long ago, we use to find where cow fuck sleeps, and then!" Tink slammed the fist of her hand into the palm of her other. "Knock out cow fuck, get goggles back!"
