He was so thick, so incredibly warm, filling up every single empty space inside me until I felt completely whole. River didn't rush. He stopped completely, burying himself all the way to the root, his hips locking firmly against mine. He stayed perfectly still for a long moment, letting my tight muscles adjust to his massive size. Then, he leaned down, pressing his soft lips against my neck, sucking gently on the sensitive skin until a soft sob escaped my lips.

Daniel held the full weight of this — the nine-year-old's arrival at the thought he had been circling in the library notes for a year without finding its plainest form. The building as the way the attending stays. He thought: yes. He thought: that is exactly what it is. He looked at the river — the November river, moving south, the water carrying its leaves and its current and its direction toward the sea. He thought: the river is also this. The attending passed forward in the moving thing. South to the sea. The chain is in water form. He thought: the buildings stay and the river moves and both carry the attending forward. He thought: everything that is honest carries the attending forward.

What a caring person you are," Jack said dotingly, his guilt long gone. He added, "Naomi, Eva's right. We have to bring the gifts back. As a punishment, you'll have to wait here for us." "Jack, it's not that I don't want to wait. The flood is coming soon, "I tried to explain, but Eva interjected. "There aren't only gifts for the colleagues in the suitcase. There are also gifts for you. Don't complain if it gets wet." Then, she deliberately shook the suitcase, 'accidentally' letting the waterproof bag with my documents and phone slip out, falling into the water down below.

When Dad came back that day, he had yelled at me, his eyes bloodshot. "Why did you lie?" I didn't know what he was talking about. All I could do was cry in fear. Suddenly, he gripped me by the neck with one hand. I couldn't breathe. I tried to push him away, but he was surprisingly strong. No matter how I tried, I couldn't free myself. Unconsciously, I mumbled, "D… Dad…" Just as I thought that he was about to strangle me to death, Aunt Caroline appeared and saved me. "What the hell are you doing, Benjamin?" she demanded, holding me close.

River Black River held the candelabra in her hand, holding it aloft, looking around the huge room. It was so big, it dwarfed her living room back at her parents’ house. Everything was draped in white cloth and for a moment, she felt lost in that room too. It had no windwos and seemed to be below ground, in a basement level, though she wasn’t entirely sure. It had been a disorientating walk in the dark mansion. River hoped it was nicer during the day. Less confusing. In truth, she hoped that when she woke up, she’d be inside her tent, safe and sound and all this would be a strange dream.

"Thank heavens I dodged quickly, or I might have died here today. "Why does the prince consort keep trying to harm me? Is it only because I ordered this urn dug out? The diviner said the evil spirit inside haunts me day after day and wants to drag me to hell. I only want to live." Mother hurriedly ordered the servants to carry Adrian back inside and summon the physician. When she turned back to Father, only disgust and coldness remained in her eyes. "Gideon Frost, you truly have become vicious. Fine. Since you protect this evil spirit's remains so dearly, then you will personally burn them to ashes to cleanse the bad luck from Adrian's body."

Making River trepidatious of the inevitable burn of desire that he hides from. "I can't." River says as he sniffles and his eyes water, and redden- a futile fight with the tears that well up into them. "Why not?" Sebastian asks, his annoyance rising to a dangerous level. He wanted to hear River say the three words, but knew better than to dream. There was a hope of reciprocation, that was pulling at them both. River held back the most, because he was afraid. Scared of what it could mean for him and Sebastian, but he wanted to chance it. He wanted to take the risk, and leap into the deep end. Though he wanted to be sure, that the life support which was Sebastian's love, would always be there.

replied River, her fingers typing away furiously. “He won't stop with just one attack. He'll try to retaliate, but if we know his secrets, we can make him weak.” River was a renowned hacker who worked for Maggie for several days.
