I replied, trying to speak better. “Th… they aren’t rogues. Th… they had black helmets on their heads, an… and they had gloves on their hands.” I described them while trying to remember anything else, discreet about their clothing but it was just a fleeting glance when they hit the car on my side and I looked outside before closing my eyes in fear. “Th… there is a tattoo on .. on his ne.. neck… at th.. the junction… th.. they were hunters.” I told him, gasping furiously in the process.

Holden’s skills were more than impressive; they were scary. “How did you…?” I asked, completely dumbfounded. “Tracking is easy. A smart watch, a phone, doesn’t matter,” Holden said. “If it has a chip in it like most cars do these days, I can hack in to it.”

Kristin grabbed the hems of his shirt, urging him to lower himself to her height so she could whisper something to him. Richard sighed and bent down to her level. "These hats are a bit expensive compared to the ones I used in Glenwood, but you need one," she whispered. "What for?" he whispered back. "You want to learn a bit of farming, right? You'll need it to protect your face from the sun," she explained softly. Richard nodded. "We'll take two hats," she smiled at the seller. The seller quickly complied, handing the hats to Kristin after Richard paid for them. "Can you lower your height a little more?" Kristin asked, struggling to place the hat on Richard’s head.

Before taking a seat inside, he smiled at them. When Hunter noticed him wearing his hat, he asked, "Why are you wearing a hat? Are you going somewhere?" Dominus gazed up into the sky, shaking his head. "I am sorry and I took it," he said, "I came out of the bathroom and noticed this, and I just wanted to see if it looked nice on me." Surprisingly, the others had to forget about what he had just done and why he was rushing earlier. Hunter answered, "Sure, you look like an actor."

He paired it with an affluent peasant dark hat, and with his cream tattered leather apron, he stood beside Sophie. "Okay. So, what about those werewolves and hunters you mentioned earlier to Eve? I didn't mean to pry, but with my hearing, I can't help but hear." Sophie asked and took a small flower from the ground. She held it tightly and was at a loss for words.

"Alright then, Poppy. Have a nice ride." Looking at Hunter, he added, "I'll have Hoyt get up here, pronto." With that, he touched the brim of his straw hat, then ambled off in the direction of the pasture. "Alright, are you ready?" Hunter asked. Poppy nodded. "Sure." He squinted at her slightly. "The sunglasses are a good idea, but do you have a hat?" She shook her head. "No hat. I didn't even think about it."
