The first was giving birth to Eve alone. Holly turned to her old friend and did her best to act natural. Hopefully she wouldn’t pay attention to the little girl with her. Holly was certain that her old friend would figure out her secret, just by looking at her daughter. It was the reason Holly had left her old life behind, she knew she would not be able to hide it.

And at the altar, standing alone in a sea of white roses, Holly watched it all. She watched her groom abandon her. She watched him throw himself into the dirt for another woman. She watched him ignore his duty, his honor, and his pregnant bride to save a nobody. Something inside Holly snapped. It wasn't a quiet snap. It was the sound of a dam breaking. The years of jealousy. The fire. The fear of Abram. The desperate need to be someone. It all boiled over into a hot, red rage that blinded her to reason. She didn't care about the assassin neither did she care about the dead body.

- I reached a final decision after pondering on it for a while. "Okay. I'll send you the details, I'm leaving now" - she turned to the meek girl with the huge framed glasses. "She's in your hands now" - she smiled before heading out the door. Without Rachel around, my attention turned to the young lady, "I believe introductions are in order. I heard a commotion coming from some of the office girls across the room which broke me out of my mind swirl. “Have you seen Mr. Hottie out there with the super sports car.” One of them gushed. Please don’t let this be Logan. I thought. The girls were all gushing over some guy outside. I looked over one of their shoulders and sighed. “Leah, isn’t that the guy who was at the bar last week?” One of my closest colleagues asked me a little too loudly, to drop me in it. “Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.”
