From Rags to Richmond

From Rags to Richmond

How did Maria get ahold of that picture? "You know I was in Flemond a while back. I was homeless and I made myself at home in an abandoned building. There I stayed with three of my friends. Since we were poor we were outcasts and no one really cared about us. We minded our own business, but then one day an accident struck us," Maria started. All her teasing stopped and she was dead serious as she continued talking. Warren could only listen in shock.

I really liked this book. The author demonstrated good imagination.....right up to the end. That's where you lost me. I'm lost as to why you would allow his childhood sweetheart to live through the final destruction only to kill her when he finds out she is the only one he loved that is still alive.

I think it was quite a nice ending, dark and idk but it was dark and nice. I don't really see how this book can continue, I do hope it does but they shouldn't waste this ending, amazing, thanks to the Author for a good well written poor to rich novel

They Called Me a Squatter in My Own Home

They Called Me a Squatter in My Own Home

No one wanted to be associated with a "criminal's boyfriend." After a week, Liam was on the street. The nights in Los Angeles are not kind to the homeless. He tried to sleep in front of a convenience store but was chased away by security. After three days without food, he finally swallowed his pride and begged Chloe to talk to me. "Tell him," I said, putting down my coffee, my voice calm, "to volunteer at the homeless shelter my mother founded. For one full week." Chloe frowned. "Are you sure? That place is..."

Freeze, Flight, Fight!

Freeze, Flight, Fight!

i stood there wanton and dazed until a taxi pulled up in front of me and the driver honked asking if i wanted a ride, I shook myself to sense apologised to him and turned and entered the station. i found my platform and sat on my suitcase against a wall with my knees pressed to my chest, memories of last night flowing leaving me wonder if id ever feel so high again. the memories and thoughts stayed with me constantly till i arrived at home where i become the victim of a game of stacks on under my eight pups.the older ones gently flopped on me while the youngers ones did not hold back i laughed and pretended i was drowning beneath them. between the game and settling them at the table for the

Trades And Orgasms

Trades And Orgasms

"Well what would you know, you're so young. Soon you'll learn that the world isn't full of good people. There are some people who are happy to let people do the hard work for them" "And there are also some people who have fallen on hard times and have nowhere else to go" I quickly retort back to him, everything inside of me is screaming to shut the hell up but the messages aren't reaching my mouth, as I keep speaking. "I was homeless, when I was younger"

The Omega's Triplet Hybrids

The Omega's Triplet Hybrids

he snapped, then rubbed his face. I buried my face in my hands, knowing full well that Greta probably fell asleep in the tub. Wasn’t the first time. “Damn it. Look, I’ll throw her out, for good this time you have my word. I’ll do anything I can, I’ll paint, I’ll help. You can tack a couple hundred onto my rent until I can pay you back,” I said, my eyes pleading. Being homeless in New York City is NOT a fucking option. Any friends I had were in similar situations to me, or had kids. There was literally NO where else for me to go. Nowhere.

The Professor Who Loves Me

The Professor Who Loves Me

I’ll have to change several times a day after sex. Julian sits beside me on the bed, and I relax my head on his chest. He’s resting his head on his arm. “I’ve been to a homeless shelter,” I start, continuing our previous conversation. “I considered myself lucky because the lady caretaker, Tia, was kind enough to offer me a bed without lining up. I, too, was entitled to free meals. She looked after me because she thought I was too young to be alone in such a situation. I didn’t see her again after I worked at the coffee shop.”

Wife's Vanishing Act

Wife's Vanishing Act

I closed my eyes briefly, then lifted the microphone. "Before I answer any questions," I said, "there's something I'd like to share. "I don't know if any of you have ever experienced this… Fighting stray dogs for food out of hunger. Sleeping on frozen pavement in torn summer clothes during the dead of winter. Surviving in an orphanage on a slice of bread a day, ignored and mistreated. "Yes, that was my childhood. After being separated from my parents, I wandered the streets until I was finally taken in by an orphanage. From then on, I told myself that if I wanted a future, I had to study, work hard, and rise above.

Me in a gang? No, I'm in a family

Me in a gang? No, I'm in a family

Jasper was in a hard time when he was on the streets, he started streetlighting and illegal racing and then when we managed to track him down and find him, he was on coke, but he also decided to deal them as well, he was so sad about Nel and Dahlia that he nearly overdosed so many times, but thankfully, didn't. My mom and dad practically abandoned me when I was young and I moved in with my grandparents, but they got too old to take care of me so I went into foster care and well then Mantian picked me up, after all, I had no family that was still in contact and I doubt any of them would want a practical stranger to them all. Dahlia pov Today was a beautiful day, the sun shone through the glas

He added. "This is too much to take in." Isa said and sighed. " Where are you taking it to?" Owen asked angrily. "You're not even a member of this family." He added. "Owen!" Niall said. "I'm disappointed in you too", Owen replied. "You believe these shitheads. They just want money. " He added. "You think we're here because of money?" Cameron asked. "Isn't that why we're here?" Skylar whispered. "We're not here because of money" Juan said."We're here because we're homeless. Our useless mother ran away." Juan said. "Don't talk about mom like that." Skylar said. "Isn't she useless?" Juan asked. "Anyways, we just need some place to stay. It's just a fuckin' favour."
