I wanted to know if she’d actually show up or if she’d chicken out and move to another planet so Maeve didn’t have to pull her to Michael’s house. I wanted to see what she’d dress as—if she’d dress up at all. Then the front door opened again, and I lifted my drink to my lips. But I then paused. The room shifted. Orange. That was the first thing I noticed. Then it became clearer. Mikael's voice was warm, his eyes glinting as he drank the content from his cup. "Why does she look like she's seen a ghost? Is she afraid her blood would be used for our next dinner?" someone taunted me in the room, grabbing my attention. He was like a giant, his whole body could swallow me up and probably most people in this room. One of his eyes had been patched and he was bald. On his forearms was a tattoo of a wing and the name Ophylia was written underneath.

These two are such a hoot. The party is fun, but instead of Aphrodite and Orion, Mikhail and I are dressed as Ares and Persephone. As always, he’s wearing black. A black shirt, tank top, leather jeans, and boots. I’m wearing a white off-the-shoulder goddess gown with high heel sandals. Azazel is, indeed, Apollo. His golden costume is striking on him. But of course, Azazel would go all out and dress the part like he was born into it.

Is she avoiding me? I contemplate the turn of events between us as I get through my day but am left disconcerted. Friday night is here, and I’m on my way to Garden of Eden for the Halloween party. I know that Mikhail was joking when he said that I should dress like a vampire, but I figure, why the hell not? I opt to be a less cheesy version, though. Instead of a cape, I wear a suit, draw puncture wounds on my neck with blood dripping down the collar and let my fangs come out. No one other than those who know what I am will be the wiser.

“What am I doing here?” “You know what.” The sudden sound of the familiar voice makes me flinch. I turn around and see that someone is emerging in the darkness is none other than Mikhail. He looks different. Instead of being in his usual immaculate suits and modelesque casual outfits, he’s wearing a robe made of black fur. He’s wearing a necklace made of sharp animal bones, and in his hand is a long scepter that has a blade at the tip. His hair is slicked back, and I can see traces of blood in his hands.

This was an occasion where 'dress to impress' is an unvoiced, unbreakable rule, unspoken as it was, everyone knew it could never be overlooked. Mikkel had worn a light beige shirt along with a matching pair of dark brown pants to go with it. His deep brown hair was clipped back by Meghaal. He had found the courage to ask Meghaal to do his hair and make-up. The girl was ecstatic at the fact of him wanting to 'express himself by exposing himself to the greatness of the world' and, true to her word, she did a great job. The makeup she used was not heavy enough to stand out but not light enough to go undetected.

Ouriel was also wearing his shirt from earlier, denim pants, sneakers and a varsity jacket from the school they were heading. Azrael didn’t know where Ouriel got their clothes, “Are you sure this was all clean? After we finish this mission I’m already itching.” she said while pulling the sleeves of her cardigan. “Of course it is clean, and we have to rub our shoulders with the students that’s why we have to be dressed like this.” he said as a group of teenagers watched him as he walked. And Azrael heard… “Oh my God, he is so handsome!” “I haven’t seen anything like him.”

CHAPTER FOUR I dress up in my favorite royal purple suit that makes me look classy as hell. My jet black hair packed into a tight bun. I highlight my face with makeup, giving me a little baddie look. I glance at myself one more time on the mirror, making sure I am not looking horrible; it might scare people off me. Making me loose the job in the process. The door opens, revealing Mike. He is dressed up in a black hoodie, and a sweat pant. His dirty blonde hair styled to the side. He smiles at me, wrapping his arms around me.

Zachariah sighs and steps back, slipping out of me and then allowing my feet to touch the floor once more he then smirks as I see his eyes flash and know that Morpheus has something planned for us once the full moon hits its highest peak and then forces us to shift. He moves fully away from me and walks into the closet. I don’t even get a chance to move as he then returns a few moments later, already wearing some loose slacks and no shirt. He is carrying a dress in his hands and as soon as he stops in front of me; I realise that it was the first dress that Melissa had me try on this afternoon.

But deep down, I was hoping that only Ambrosia would show up… I knew I couldn’t get so lucky. I was hoping that maybe she would come alone and try to talk me down... I might have just agreed, maybe. But of course, Raziel and his brothers showed up first. Soon followed by Ambrosia and Master Rowen. My gaze fell straight to Ambrosia when I realized what she was wearing. She was wearing an outfit from her closet back in the Box!
