Too Late to Regret

Too Late to Regret

Why did someone have to appear at such a time? Beatrice, ever so kind, extended her hand for a handshake and approached her. Mrs. Davidson explained that the masquerade was meant to allow everyone to forget their identities and break down barriers, enabling more free-flowing conversations. Beatrice greeted her warmly, “Hello, your mask is very beautiful.” Candice smiled and replied casually, “Thank you. Would you like me to help you pick a mask?” Beatrice eagerly agreed, “That would be wonderful. You youngsters always have better taste than us.”

Ruby Fridays

Ruby Fridays

"We are all mysteries to one another, cloaked in shadows and secrets. But here in this place, on this night, we shall peel back the layers and expose what lies beneath." Serving as a lullaby, her words sends a thrill of danger, and it hangs in the air dangerously as we gather here, away from the eyes of the world. This masquerade midnight rules are simple — answer honestly and face our truths, and face a dare designed to make us question everything. Fail a dare and face the consequences, whatever form they may take. The masquerade demands a sacrifice from those who fail, so choose your truths and dares with care lest you find yourself unwittingly offering up more than you bargained for. "

...... Never read a book well written like this before. Full of emotions, and surprises. The cliffhangers are just............ I don't know what to say aside from the fact that it's soooooo good! I'm happy I had seen this in the most popular stories section. Hope it will be on the front page next......

EL Diablo

EL Diablo

she ended up asking when she got her soul back. “Oh cariño, there is this thing about masquerade ball, it’s a chance to see people as they truly are. Although a lot of people here have decided to wear masks on top masks but I on the other hand, have decided to take off my mask, so what you are looking at now, is the true me.” “That is not true,” Ava said and if he smiled, she couldn’t say because the hideous thing was covering every part of his face. “It’s surprising that after all these years and everything that happened, you are still doubting it.”

Reclaiming my Fated Alpha

Reclaiming my Fated Alpha

“No problem. It’s good to see you smile. Much better than you moping around the house all day long. The way you’re stuck to the house, you’ll be growing mushrooms soon.” He takes a look at the grandfather clock tucked in the corner of the living room and jumps up excitedly. “We have to go, or we’ll be late for the masquerade party.” The masquerade party is an annual event where members of different packs come together to mingle around in hopes of meeting new friends and finding their mates. Basically, it’s like an open blind date where you can hook up with anyone you fancy at the party. In all my twenty years of life, I have never once attended the party but Ares has. He attends it every sin

Dear readers, There will be no updates next week as I will be editing the free chapters as well as correcting the grammatical and spelling errors throughout the story. Please bear with me as I work on improving 'Reclaiming my Fated Alpha’ to make the story even more enjoyable for you :)

Definitely one of the better books on here. It’s well written with minimal errors. There were so many climaxes and conflicts that could have easily been made into plots of second and third books. Only thing I disliked was that the MC was mostly weak through out the story especially for being a Beta.

Reclaiming His Fated Luna

Reclaiming His Fated Luna

“Tell him to enjoy the view… while he still can.” The hall outside buzzed with movement—servants rushing about, guards standing at attention, and the muffled notes of string music drifting in from the east wing. My pulse thrummed beneath my skin like war drums. Tonight was a masquerade in more ways than one. Everyone hid their intentions behind smiles and painted masks. But me? I was done pretending. The wolves in silk and satin would dance, drink, and make merry, and then the blood would spill. And when the moonlight hit the ballroom floor just right, and the crowd was thick with laughter, Alpha Kieran would feel the cold kiss of steel before the night was over.

What Lies Within You [ENGLISH]

What Lies Within You [ENGLISH]

He scratched his clean cut black hair and snorted, making Black and Flute look at him. "Mga 'tol, can you at least explain everything in the simplest way a noob can understand? Don't you feel pity to Yuri?" he asked, shooting Yuri a sideway glance who glared at him. He faked a cough. Grabe! He's just trying to make them laugh, you know! But no one did! How cruel they were to Mijo. Black smiled again. "We will be the members of The Masked. Just like the wizards in my story and the Four Horsemen, we will be doing something entertaining using our abilities to grab attention."

I Married A Billionaire, Who Wanted Revenge!!!

I Married A Billionaire, Who Wanted Revenge!!!

No, not really. I deliberately selected a mask from the tray, my heart rate accelerating. The mask featured silk and gold accents, with soft ribbons, offering a sense of anonymity. A masquerade can imply a lack of accountability, as it often involves power without individual recognition. With hidden faces, intentions may be perceived as unrestrained. Of course he would be here. This is exactly his kind of stage, isn't it? He had arrived in public places, open and claiming, and this place… Damn it!

Sinful Desires

Sinful Desires

"It's a masquerade ball. You know, masks? Disguises? Or is that concept too complicated for you?" Maria's eyes flashed dangerously. "I know what a fucking masquerade is, you moron." "Enough," Victor interrupted, his quiet command instantly silencing their bickering. He fixed his gaze on Jordan. "Tell me more about this... masquerade." Jordan straightened, clearly pleased to have Victor's attention. "It's happening in two days. Saturday night at Xavier's mansion on the hill. The theme is 'Sins and Virtues' or some pretentious shit like that. Everyone who's anyone in the underworld will be there—all wearing masks, of course."

Ralph’s Repentance

Ralph’s Repentance

And the remaining are doing a great job in finding the proper position for themselves in the notorious masquerade ball, trying to mingle with the crowd. But Lucas can tell that they are very terrible at their attempts. The purpose of the ball is to relish the banquet with marriage prospects, ending the enmity between families but it seems like some people are trying hard to let their guards down. It would’ve been better if they simply remained in home or their dens if they’re so obsessed with their lives instead of living in dread of being attacked in a hall full of disguised people. “I do not wish to be here brother.” Klara whispered, adjusting her mask around her eyes, feeling unease at th

Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

Cold seeped through my hair, into my skull, a chill that had nothing to do with temperature and everything to do with the shape of the future unfolding. The Masquerade. Every year, the Academy's elite hid their faces behind silk and enchanted gold. Every year, sins were committed behind masks that would be politely forgotten come dawn. It was the pinnacle of social theater - a night where identity dissolved and only power remained. It was also, I realized, the perfect place for a public execution dressed as a rescue.
