" Are you feeling good down there?" " I am," I peeked at my drawing. Inspecting the somehow horrifying image. Okay! To get this straight...I drew something which almost seemed to look like an eagle...it had wings so long that it occupied the entire space of the paper. The wings had symbols that I saw as designs. I made its eyes wide like that of an owl but its peak was like that of a raven. It was flying, and behind it, I drew a small moon at the corner of the paper, beneath the eagle's feet was a trace of reflecting water.

For a little guy, he is way too good. There are all different kinds of drawings that are too neat, I shuffle through them, trying to find one to stick on our fridge in the kitchen. I smile to myself when I come across a picture of him and I then there's Jasmine and even Alex, with and without devil horns— that makes me laugh. I pass by other boyish things, like cars, dragons, dogs, dinosaurs and ninjas, lots and lots of them.

"There's no way I look like that. You look like you're being castrated right now." "Here's a better representation," There's a short stick laying between us and I pick it up, drawing the shape of a human face on the beach sand. I start out by drawing out two 'o's as the eyes with curved brows at the top. A small triangle is drawn next to display his small but pointy nose, and then lastly, strike out a straight horizontal line as his mouth. Noah stares at the silly drawing on the sand that now looks like a hairless mutant and raises a curved brow. "It's missing both ears."

' The drawing was done and Sara nodded looking at it, he was satisfied with the result. 'Now where that snake can be?' . . . The rank 3 Horned snake was lying on the river to let the water filled with "Breath" enter its body. There were many wounds on its body, probably due to its battle with the pack of Earth snakes, and no rank 2 snakes of its pack were present. The snake was sleeping but it was right in the open, there was no way to take it by surprise. Sara was hiding behind a rock looking at it, her claws were out in the open and she had reverted back to her primal form.

Naivleen turns her head to give us a better look. Right at the top of his head are two long twisted horns which bow outwards at the base before turning towards his snout and sweeping upwards. They are awesome in size and beauty. Fading from a black so dark it looks liquid, to a green as rich and deep as the pines below. Two smaller horns sit either side of his head, below the big ones but above his eyes. They are pure black and look more like what I would expect from a horn, slightly curved, not twisted or particularly remarkable except the fact they are on an actual dragon.

As I bent down to pick it up, I realised it had fallen open to a specific page. The illustration staring back at me held me in place like a beast with its claws in my chest. It was a drawing of a monster with long, dried-up black hair, claw-like nails, and prominent fangs. Below the drawing was a single red drop of blood, as if it were dripping from the fangs. I narrowed my eyes, trying to decipher the ancient, jagged writing that surrounded the drawing:

Cord drew a diagram on the stone floor of the sanctuary courtyard using a piece of white chalk. It was not a map of the territory. It was a schematic of a gear. Silas and his senior wolves stood around it, watching the system-builder. They were still nursing the physical and psychological wounds of the morning’s failed charge.

His wings are leathery and have hooked ‘claws’ on the top joint where they fold back down again. The hair on his head is a thick black line between his horns and ears that run flat along his scalp, but flick up at the ends. His eyes are yellow and glowed gently. His face is probably the most startling bit about him, he has a square face, with a broad nose that looks almost feline, heavy-set brows cover his eyes a little, and his mouth has prominent teeth from his top and bottom jaw. He’s also incredibly muscular, and frowns at Crow when he keeps staring at him,

"Behind you Ri," I yell to Orion and he sees a little too late. The tiny creature jumps on his back and he fumbles back. "What the hell?" he says stumbling back as the thing covers his eyes with its claws. "Zel get this thing off me!" "Okay just remain calm remember our training." "I'm calm, I'm calm but I would appreciate it if you could get this thing off my back." We are surrounded by creatures that look like mini demons. They have long horns that curl at the tips and wings on their backs. Their bodies look like it's made out of ash. Their eyes are huge glowing red orbs that are bulging out of their heads.

His glowing golden eyes reminded me of the first time I'd seen the sun. I should have been as terrified as the two men, but when the beast's eyes shift towards me, the look in his eyes reminds me of someone I knew--someone who saved me from a falling sign. Turning his head back to the men, the beast made a deep, guttural sound, a growl ten times louder and more aggressive than a dog. It sent shivers down my spine and made the hair rise along my skin. The men cried out, and I averted my head back to see one wetting his trousers.
