I turn my face back to the TV, raising the duvet to my nose. I wasn’t scared of entering haunted mansions but horror movies were a big no-no for me. You know what I hate about horror movies is the characters, they always act dumb. Like who goes into a dark shed in the middle of f***ing nowhere at night asking if anyone is there? Like why would you do that? Of course, someone is going to be there and jump at you duh, that’s basic knowledge but I guess characters didn’t get the memo. I would never do something like that, ever. You can never even find me in the middle of nowhere at night.

“I know it doesn’t look like much, but they play really good movies here. Lots of good scary movies. The owner is kind of a horror movie fanatic. I come here all the time.” Great a movie theater that specializes in scary movies. I love scary movies, but theaters just make everything so much creepier. There are always a bunch of people in there, people I don’t know. People that make my paranoia kick in. Like how many of those people are serial killers? You have no way of knowing. My breath picked up a little as I hung my head low and fisted my hands. “We should totally watch a horror movie with hot coco. All this date night and everything is cool, but nothing beats a family movie night with horror movies.” Ivan’s irritating voice butted in once again.
