I hurried towards it, it look like a stallion I'm sure it is but I didn't know much about horse or any animals for that matter, its hair was so long and black, his eyes so dark it reminded me of Jet, even the horse was black. "Oh you fond Jello" Clair said watching me. "Oh my God! He is so beautiful! He is a he right?" I cried, too bad the horse just stared at me like I was dumb or something. "Yes a he, a stallion. The very last of its breed, only heavens knows where Jet got him from" "I want to ride it!" I reached to pull the door open but a groom appeared from nowhere and stopped me before I could reach for the door, I jerk back in surprised.

Roxanne changed quickly, her eyes shining with excitement. "You look beautiful in anything, my fair princess," Jaxon complimented her as she stepped out. He took her to the stable, where twenty horses of different breeds awaited. There was Sugarplum, a beautiful chestnut mare with a white blaze on her forehead, Noir, a sleek black stallion with a star-shaped marking on his nose, a proud Arabian named Zephyr, a gentle giant of a Shire horse named Thunder, and several others, each with their unique markings and personalities.

LAURA "Blacky's fine now, Isko. You can give him water," Laura told Isko, a Miller Estate worker responsible for the horses. Blacky was their Friesian Horse breed. She was at the clinic when Isko called about a horse acting sluggish. She rushed back to Miller Estate to examine Blacky and found that exhaustion and the hot weather were likely causes. Summer was tough on the animals. "Thank you very much, Miss Laura," Isko said to her.

Up close, the air between us felt charged, sending electric waves through my body. He led me to the stable where a gentle chestnut mare named Daisy waited, already saddled. “She’s sweet and patient, perfect for a beginner like you.” Cole adjusted the stirrups with his large, capable hands. “First rule: trust the horse, but trust your rider even more.”

Just like before, he pretended like he never heard her. "That's Belle the white horse which as pretty as me." She said pertaining to a white mare. He finds the name of the horses cute most specially the black stallion. He just love that horse like he wanted to ride him. Not that he was fond with animals but this is the first time he got an interest with stallion and feels like wanting to ride on it.

On the ranch, Kairo and Rose are riding on one of the horses. Rose doesn't know how to ride a horse. But Kairo does. She is sitting in the front while he is sitting behind her on the horse. The horse is throttling slowly. The pace is leisurely and relaxed. Kairo is not in a hurry to end the ride soon. This is his wife's first horse ride, and he doesn't want to scare her. It took some persuasion on his part to make her agree to ride a horse in the first place. So he doesn't want to scare her with speed.

The wind moved through Wren Hollow like a whisper from the grave—dry, persistent, and full of secrets. It stirred the dust along the path to the cemetery, lifted the edges of black skirts, and rustled the cottonwoods that lined the ridge like sentinels. Gabrielle Moreau sat astride her horse, Raven, watching the mourners gather below. Her posture was straight, her face unreadable. But her eyes—dark, sharp, and unyielding—missed nothing.

It battered through her core with a burst of adrenaline that sent her fleeing the terrace, unable to hear the calls of Circe over her shoulder. “Ten… twenty… twenty five.” Alessia’s attention was stolen by the sight of an old woman: she was just past the counter and entered from a side door, bent at the waist and hobbling forward with a small sack of coins in one hand. The pouch landed with a thump on the table, the coins inside tinkling enticingly. Alessia reached into her knapsack and produced the captured hare before holding it out for her to take. The feathered tail of her arrow stuck out from its neck now angled awkwardly.

**** When they were done swimming, Nathan suggested that they unhitch the horses from the cart and go for a ride, and as relaxed as she was, Crystal thought that it was a novel idea - and so it was that they were coming over a hill when Christine spotted them. Nathan was riding a black horse, which was his special riding horse. It had black fur with a white marking on the forehead, making it look noble and elegant. Crystal was riding the brown horse, Zeus, which was Christine’s special horse, and when she saw the other woman riding her horse, her ire began to rise. She brought her hand to her mouth and whistled.

The simple contact makes me shiver as he breaks the rules once more and touches me. “They have had many names, but dead horses are the literal translation of the oldest name I have ever found for them. I train the dead horses in my spare time. We have over fifty of them which we can ride, and they pull our carriages when we aren’t breeding them. Wild dead horses are difficult to train, but perhaps you would like to help me in your new home,” he offers, and it seems honest enough. A dream, really. “I’d really like that,” I say with a cautious smile.
