You did what you did and it happened. We can’t change that, but you can change the future. You can change the present. You are a different person than you were two years ago. I’ve only been your therapist for a while, but I see your change, I see your remorse, and I see your desire to make things right. I admire that, but first you need to let go of the mistakes you made and the person you were. You need to forgive yourself just as much as you want others to forgive you.”
