My first day at work didn’t go at all how I imagined. I had pictured a fresh start, maybe a new chance to put my past behind me and move forward with something meaningful. But life had other plans. Then she awoke from a drowsy state, hearing the shower running. She knew she should get up and start preparing a meal, but she was caught in a strange inertia. “Let’s start easy. Your company was founded in 2007. You were just a young man back then but you were able to start on such a large scale. Where did the funds for that come from? The bank perhaps?” Ingram and Peter laughed. Savannah didn't. “Well, if you knew what having a father meant, you would know that I took over from my father and refurbished the whole thing. Gave it a new look. So I didn't need to start over and I sure as hell didn't need ‘funds from the bank.’ But you would know what that was about, wouldn't you?” The smile on his face slightly disappeared. “Yes, yes I do.” I didn't miss the smile on Savannah's face.
