How Long Should A Book Chapter Be Novels & Stories

She had been waiting to read the book, but she was interrupted by unfortunate events the previous night. Flipping through the first page, she continued to the prologue where the story began. Arlene was too engrossed with the book that she didn’t notice that she had passed a lot of time. The book contained 30 chapters and she had read fifteen chapters at a go. She stopped reading when she heard her stomach rumble, so she closed the book and checked the time on her phone, it was 4 pm already. She turned on her data to check her i*******m feed and the writer’s forum she was on for updates.

Anyone wants to help me with editing of chapters ? I am thinking of having some rederss to help m with it . You will have to edit at least hundred or thousand words per day. Since that is the amount of words that are right and fourth chapter or somewhere around two thousand I'm not sure if you are interested or not but just a sort of helping me since I'm overloaded with other work but I can write the chapter and give it to you and then later on you can see and edit them hope that works out

This has been irritating me for a few days. To the people complaining about how the chapters are broken up, this is not a decision I made myself. I'm doing what I was told to do. GN wants chapters under 1k words to make them easier to purchase. Especially with bonus coins. My chapters tend to be 3-4k words so I HAVE to break them up. The first few chapters that are free I kept at their regular length because they are free, but the chapters starting from where it goes to PTR I was told to make shorter. There are other option on where to read my books if the chapter breaks are that much of an issue.... Leaving negative reviews for something so silly and out of my hands is unfair and really pet

It was harder than the speeches. That was the thing I had not fully anticipated. The speeches required me to be present for an hour and then it was over and the presence could end. The book required me to sit at a desk in the kitchen in the early mornings before the children woke and return to the material day after day after day, to pick up where I left off, to carry the story open rather than being able to close it at the end of a session. Rating it poorly because of what you don’t even know is cruel and malicious. I am sad and angry. I am a reader as much as I am a writer and I have read books with short chapters and understood what short chapters meant. Most times my chapter ends at 2.5k or 3k words, but because I know the coin consumption would be higher, I split the chapter into 2. I don’t like it but I have to understand and be considerate. I am taking this as an outlet to let you know sometimes we do what we do to make it easier for every reader. Getting rated poorly because of it is cruel. I barely get many reviews on the front page of the book so a review this poor would set me back so far.
