Goodnovel expects me to make it 1.5k or something but as a reader myself, shorter chapters annoy me. Because I want more info in a go. I hope you understand what I mean?

I like making my chapters at least 3k words because I pack a lot into one chapter and I am unable to do that with a word limit of 1500-2k (to keep my chapters affordable I need to keep them between that word count). This story is dragging on because I'm trying to figure out how to keep it at a good pace while also keeping the chapters short and sweet. I'm afraid I'll either make the story too fast or as I am making it now, too slow. I am unable to find a healthy balance and this story is starting to become more of a burden than a joy like it originally is supposed to be.

Hello guys. So I've seen some complaints about me updating only once a day and I just want to clarify something. I write very long chapters. Some of my chapters can go up to 2800 words. And while other authors would rather divide that word count into two, I chose to publish it at once because of the cost of chapters on the app nowadays.

I realized too late, that if I wanted my book to be perfect in every way (because I'm also a keen perfectionist and when I want something done, I want it to be perfect) I should have finished it first. Having said that, I made a promise to myself (and now to you) that my next book will not be published until it is done from its cover to its epilogue.
