How Long Should A Chapter Be In A Book Novels & Stories

Author's note. Happy 60 Chapter Guys!!!! I feel so happy and elated. You know, when I started writing, I was planning to write only 15 chapters since I just wanted to write about my Friend who died so I could feel a little comforted that she's in a better place. But well as I wrote I continued to get inspiration so now I have decided that I am going to write 150 chapters. Volume 1: Chapter 1-50. Volume 2: Chapter 50-100.

But back to your question, I love all of them, equally. Audience: *cheers*. Audience (5): How many chapters would your book have? Naomi: Originally, I wanted my book to end in chapter forty or fifty. But with the way it's going, I might finish it at Chapter sixty. I doubt it would end in seventy though. But it isn't impossible. If I see it going to a hundred, I'll just have to write a part two. It was harder than the speeches. That was the thing I had not fully anticipated. The speeches required me to be present for an hour and then it was over and the presence could end. The book required me to sit at a desk in the kitchen in the early mornings before the children woke and return to the material day after day after day, to pick up where I left off, to carry the story open rather than being able to close it at the end of a session. I wrote the second chapter over two weeks. The third chapter took three.

Hey guys, We are a few chapters away from completion. And as much as I wanted to make the story longer by adding additional twists and turns, it's already longer than planned. It was initially a 75-ish chapter, but I later realized that some details would be abruptly cut, hence the extension.
