How Long Should A Chapter Be In A Fantasy Novel Novels & Stories

Whenever I write short chapter like shorter than 1500 words I always mention in my author note and apologise for it, but last chapter was 1600 words and this one is 2100 words. I don't mind dragging the description and making it unnecessary and boring for you to read long described scenes, it's not hard for me to do so, but I just never dragged my descriptions and kept it simple and shorter as I felt like it's more easier and interesting to read. But you can tell me, the scenes would be the same but the descriptions will be longer if you want, but for that I will also have to decrease the updating schedule like Two updates a week. I am not threatening you or something I am genuinely willing

Hello everyone so when I started writing the story, I wanted it to have as cute and as fluffy scenes as possible. Throughout the time, I have tried my best to do so. But, I can only know after you all inform me. This is going to be a light novel which means it is going to go on for at least 500 chapters and I am warning you all about it beforehand. There's a lot of mysteries which are going to come up and a lot of them which would be later on solved.

Hello Readers, I wanted to ask which kind of chapters you prefer. longer chapters or shorter ones? Personally I love writing long chapters but they can be very expensive and I don't want you guys spending so much money per chapter so I decided to cut the chapters short. But if you prefer longer chapters please let me know and I'll return back to longer chapters

There was no need to drag her into it. Reaching into my backpack again, I get out my notebook, hoping for inspiration to strike as strongly as it did all those years ago. It takes a while, but it does, and I outline the next three chapters, seamlessly putting in a sword-fighting scene for Charles’s sake—that totally fits with the story. Usually, I don’t like to write longhand what I then have to go back and type, but the fight scene is so clear in my head I start writing it out—and then can’t stop.

Also, I was able to request to make the next three chapters into one, which is Chapter 114, so CH 114 will cost more than usual, but it's three chapters long, so it's worth it. That series is intended to have four books, one for each dragon. I'm still trying to figure out a posting schedule with the two books. Richie's story is written in my head and is ready to be put to paper, but The Arena is my husband's favorite. Writing 17-20 chapters a week is tough, but mostly manageable. So I may divide the number of chapters each book gets each week, rather than focusing on one while the other finishes. That would mean one possibly two chapters a day for both books, rather than two chapters a day for one and three chapters a week for the other. I'd love your input and what your preference is.
