I smiled and lengthened the last word, raising my arms in triumph and letting out a big yawn before slumping back on my chair.

"I'm sorry, okay? I was just imagining a plot from a feel-good story. If you don't like it, I won't do it again." We went to a different restaurant, and after lunch, we each headed home. As soon as I got back, I opened my laptop to update my novel. Mary had suggested splitting it into two parts—the production team planned to film the first part first, and if it performed well, they would then move on to the second. The first part had to be finished by the end of the year, or filming would be delayed. My schedule was tight. To keep up, I stayed at my computer late into the night and managed to write 20 thousand words in a single day.

It took me over a long period of time to complete the writing of this novel and a few weeks before I mustered up the courage to send it to my editor and then my publisher.
