How Much Money Do Authors Get Per Book Novels & Stories

But, having so many things in common did not seem random. Plagiarism was a complicated topic in the country. It was difficult to determine whether a book was plagiarized from a legal aspect. Since it could not be defined and the book was doing amazing, the author went rampant. Not only did the author deny the plagiarism claim, but the author also even sued a few netizens in court for defamation. The author was still active in the web novel field to this day. This incident did not affect him at all. On the contrary, his fame soared. He had sold one after another royalty of his books. Furthermore, it was assumed that one book's royalty cost 20 million or more.

Arielle asked before I could, narrowing her eyes at her, and she smiled. “Nothing much. Just five thousand for each book. And there are five of them, so in total, one hundred and twenty-five thousand for all. But since I know Arielle dear, I’ll give you for one hundred and twenty thousand.” She grinned. “One hundred and twenty thousand!” Arielle gasped. “That’s daytime robbery!” “Oh, please,” she scoffed. “I doubt my price would make a scratch on your husband’s fat vault. Or is the Alpha Lord of Evercrest too stingy to pay a simple price for the safety of his territory?”

Freyja fell silent for a moment before saying, “That’s because I want to know the value of these books.” Putting it on sale on a publishing house was indeed different from releasing it on a platform. After all, only the best quality of books could be put on sale. The director nodded and said, “I can try to distribute and sell your book first, but let me make it clear for you. If the sales of your books aren't satisfactory, then I'm afraid I have to terminate our cooperation. However, if the response is good, we'll sign a contract and split the profits 50-50. What do you think?”

“What the hell are you saying?” “A reasonable hypothesis!” The female editor stated. She then explained in a matter-of-fact tone, “You know, I’m aware of your situation. You earn more than 40 thousand a month, including royalties from your web novels. The average salaries of professionals at our age is around 20k to 30k. You can be considered rich, especially since you live by yourself and has no family to support. There’s no reason for you to suddenly become a gardener. So apart from your search for inspiration and ideas, what else could have you pushed you to do so?”

I just don’t know where to begin publishing the script. Who should I talk to? Which company should I contact, I just left it. I will keep writing and see what happens. But as for my novel, they are making it big on the writing platforms. So far I have earned 19 thousand dollars from one site with ten books. On other sites, I just earned a few bucks because I’m not focused on them. I can’t wait to withdraw the money and use it for something meaningful. What it could be is what I just

She asked, appearing to have breached his line of thought, and his brows furrowed, a thoughtful expression masking his face. He leaned in, after getting a hang of what she meant by that since he had gone through the file more than two times over the night, so it just happened to be among one of those things that lived rent-free in his head at that moment. “Yes, we get to promote your book on every app possible, including platforms, and even social media, irrespective of how much it costs us, but then, we'll be given thirty percent out of every profit you make.” “Remember, only your books and that of your writers.”

"There isn't one." Lionel was shocked. In other words, the contract didn't specify the profit-sharing ratio for Mindy's previously published works. Edith could choose to give her the full share or absolutely nothing at all. "I've only received royalty payments five times in the past ten years," Mindy said, her voice trembling. "The highest amount was 80 thousand, and the lowest was just five thousand." Miranda had expected as much. Though painful, it was crucial for Mindy to face the truth. "I checked the domestic book sales rankings over the past decade. Both 'Murder Weapon' and 'The Deserted School' have consistently ranked in the top 20."

“I didn’t give you permission to have access to my contracts. How did you get them? There’s a confidentiality clause. That alone could break the contract.” “Julie, stop it. I worried that you’d received an unfair contract agreement, and I wanted to look it over from the aspect that I deal with contracts and have experience with them. As for the publishing business, new authors aren’t seeing the money they should. It’s not being offered anymore.”

This book was released back when I was trying to get traction on it a very long time ago. I’ve never made a single dime from this company, but they’d like to keep my book forever. Even when I did the writing every single day thing and should’ve gotten a “publishing bonus.” It never happened. So they don’t get to keep making money off of me and my writing. This was a much older draft than what I’m currently trying to publish anyway.

It was my first time going to get my book published, and I was nervous and also excited. "Thank you so much, ma'am..." "That reminds me... After reviewing the work, we have decided to offer you a one-time payment of five thousand dollars. This way, MoonNovel has the copyright to it, and can't be published on another platform. Do you agree to that?" She asked me, and I almost scoffed. I mean, does she need to ask me that? I'm fucking interested. This is a jackpot for me. I have never earned a thousand dollars all my life, and now I was going to earn five times of it, so how the fuck was I not supposed to be interested?
