"Okay, okay, I'm sorry." He shifted uncomfortably. "But seriously, if you came here just to glare at me, you can leave too."
I took a deep breath, forcing myself to calm down. Oliver had always been like this, impulsive, saying things without thinking, pushing buttons he didn't mean to push.
He was barely twenty four and was still figuring out how to be an adult. That was why Thomas was exploiting him really. He was a wimp in many ways, but he was my wimp and I would be damned if Thomas would turn my son away from me.
