I Died In The Freezer
One time, I had worn it in secret, and my mother had yelled at me.
I had felt sad and had cried at the top of my lungs, “It’s just a stupid necklace anyway! Do you really have to yell at me for that?!”
After that, William patiently explained and consoled me.
It turned out that I, his sister who had once claimed the necklace to be worthless, had died trying to protect it.
As for William, he sat by my body and kept watch for an entire night.
Memories from the past rose to his mind.
He remembered the days when the whole family had spent just before our parents’ passing. He also recalled the days he and I had spent after they had died. He had misunderstood things and hurt me a lot of times.
