"And you're welcome." I turned away before my face could betray me and headed toward the back stacks where the head librarian had left a handwritten list of instructions on a yellow notepad. Reorganize by genre, then alphabetically within each section. Consolidate the duplicate shelves in the east wing. Check the returns cart and re-shelve everything by the end of the session.
