How To Arrange Books In The Library Novels & Stories

I know, wherever she is right now, I am confident that she's really happy for me and the things that I do right now. She's one, proud mom above all. I went inside the library quickly. Because most of the assistant students and the librarian got really used to me, most of them were my close friends. I lift the books enough to cover my mouth to hide my laughter as the two assistants stalk away, muttering to themselves. “Oh, look. You have color again,” Luca teases. I roll my eyes. “Come on, we need to get this done.” Luca follows me to the row of shelves at the far back. To my surprise, he manages to remain quiet for the span of the short walk over. I clear my throat and point toward the first shelf. “Okay, so first things first—this section is for fiction, alphabetized by author’s last name. Simple enough, right?” Luca nods, but his expression is blank, like I’m speaking in ancient Greek.

He wasn’t looking forward to it, but putting it off any longer would only make things worse. Mia arrived at Lumen Studio just after nine. The small branding studio occupied the second floor of an old brick building downtown. Sunlight poured through the big windows, lighting up the open-plan space. Desks were scattered with sketchbooks, color swatches, half-finished mockups, and coffee cups from the morning rush. She reorganized her bookshelf twice. Not by color this time — she'd already done color, that was a September system, and she was in November now, and November required something different. She tried alphabetical by author, which was sensible and correct, and lasted approximately twenty minutes before she started moving things around by feeling, which was less sensible and more honest, and ended with Didion next to Baldwin next to a dog-eared Marilynne Robinson she'd read four times and a slim collection of poetry she'd bought at Margins and hadn't opened yet.

An hour later, I was busy arranging the books according to my prescribed order system, when it dawned upon me that Ralph's study was just next door. A part of me was dying to sneak out, but the other part of me warned me against it. This was the first time I was assigned to the library; if anything was missing from Ralph's study, Margaret wouldn't hesitate to point a finger at me.

The library was arranged beautifully with each shelves containing books of the same category. Unlike public libraries, the books were not arranged by their first letter, but by their sizes and genres. Some were even displayed

I just followed him silently, all my thoughts came to a halt as soon as the smell of books hit me nose. As I entered the library there was a lady in bright cherry red skirt and matching blouse, with bright red lipstick. She should be probably in her fifties, she is looking at me with a smile and gets me a library card issued. I walk around through the shelves, it was all arranged in alphabetical order of genre, within each genre, and the books were arranged in the order of the title’s first letter.
