Chapter 1
She ran as fast as her small legs can go, following this instinct inside her. She had been running for hours. The bruise on her rib and her swollen thigh hindered her from going the pace she wanted. The faint sound of rushing water tells her that there’s a waterfall up ahead. Come on Estelle, just a little bit more. She pushed herself. She brushed away the long leaves covering her path and stumbled upon a small clearing with a mini waterfall at the center. The water had been calling her to it. She dragged her throbbing feet towards it. Her whole body hurts and burns, her thigh aching from the blows it received. She clutched a hand to her ribs, trying to put a pressure on the pain but instead making it hurt more. She was only a few steps away from the edge of the water when she tripped on a rock jutting out from the ground and fell. Her vision began to fade as she hit her bleeding head on the ground. The impact of the fall on her body intensifies the pain. It hurts everywhere. Black do

Chapter 2
Pain. That’s what she felt when she regained consciousness. It is all over her body, aching and hurting and throbbing. She could smell the scent of medicine and oil. Estelle opened her eyes carefully. Once her vision cleared, the sight of an unfamiliar room greeted her. The walls were painted a reddish brown and furniture that looks like a mix between Victorian and French are decorated around the room. Paintings and flowers adorned the walls and a small round table. She was lying on a Victorian like canopy bed. Where am I? She wondered. The last thing she remembered was falling after failing to get to whatever her instincts were so strongly pulled to. As she looked around the room once more, she became sure that she wasn't with Tyler. She looked down at herself and realized that someone had changed her into a shirt and loose shorts. Estelle tried to get up but stopped when her head pounded from the movement and her rib felt sore. She lied back down and wheezed in pain, one hand clu

Chapter 3
Estelle entered a room with apple green walls and was greeted by a pale, dark haired woman who bowed to her. The woman stayed bowing while muttering something under her breath. Estelle tried not to show her cluelessness, fidgeting around on her feet.“Rise, Rennie.” The man, Moore, commanded softly. Rennie straightened herself and smiled at Moore, “Master Moore,” she nodded her head and turned to Estelle, “My Lady.” At this, she smiled wider, her pointed fangs showing. Vampire? Startled, fear slowly creeping in her at the thought of being in a territory that welcomes vampires. What the hell is this place? Werewolf and vampire don’t mix. They’re mortal enemies. That’s how it had always been. So, how is this possible?Moore cleared his throat. “I told you not to call me that, Rennie.” He shifted his weight and leaned against the door frame, sliding his hands into his pocket. Which makes Estelle even more confused about how a werewolf could act so comfortable and familiar with the enem

Chapter 4
Estelle roamed the halls of the house aimlessly. She guessed that it had four floors; she had been on the second floor when she woke up and the kitchen and medical room had been on the first. The floor she was on now is the third. The hallways were filled with paintings and art of all kinds, portraits, statue figures and even scrolls written in a language she didn’t understand. There are doors after every few decorations. Huge, glass chandeliers hang from the ceiling. The walls were painted a deep red with gold borders. The dimly lit lights cast off a glow, making the hallway look like it is from a different era. She remembered the corridors of the second floor were designed in a similar manner, with lesser art and it being more bright. She read the names on the tag of the doors, of people she didn't know as she walked on - Jamie, Harvey, Chris, Jayden, Gerald, Avril, Elena and so on. Those people must’ve been out as she didn’t pick up any sounds of movement in their rooms as she pa

Chapter 5
After three days, Estelle’s wounds and bruises had fully healed. She still feels a little sore around her chest and feet but it isn’t something she wasn’t used to. They had given the room she woke up in for her to use and clothes were lent to her by some of the ladies. Moore hadn’t made much appearance and when she did see him, it was only a brief exchange of ‘how are you’s’ and ‘I hope you are comfortable’. He hadn’t tried to interrogate her more but she felt like he didn’t have to since Miranda had been asking her all sorts of questions. She tried to answer as best and honestly as she can but she is cautious. She doesn’t really understand some of the things Miranda and her friends say and she dont know how much she should reveal. If Tyler was to find her and learn that she talked about him to strangers, there would be severe punishment and she couldn’t risk that. Not after the last time when she accidentally picked up his ringing phone. He had forced a toxic substance down her thr

Chapter 6
“I came here to talk to you.” Moore said. He walked over to the chair opposite Estelle’s and sat down. Following his actions, she sat back on her own chair and looked at him, trying to ignore the weird feeling in her stomach. She must’ve drank too much of the soda miranda gave her at dinner.“I think it’s time we get to know each other.” He started. Estelle gulped in her throat, feeling nervous with where this is going. “For starters, why don’t you tell me your full name?”Relieved at the simple question, she answered, “Estelle Andres. And you?”Moore is glad that she didn’t whisper or mumble like she always does. Seems like spending time with Miranda gave her a little confidence. But, Andres? Where has he heard that name before? Shaking his head, he’ll think about that later.“My name is Moore Corcoran. But you can call me just Moore.” His lips quivered into a smile at seeing Estelle’s brow scrunched upon hearing his name. Many have mentioned that it is a special name given to him du

“How did you know his name?” Estelle stared at him, eyes wide in shock. Holy Goddess, what if he were associated with him?Moore stared at her impassively. This guy, Estelle thought to herself, is smiling one second and looks scary the next. “I hear snippets of people’s thoughts, Estelle.” She shivered when he said her name. She can’t decide if it sounded lovely with the way he said it in his accent or if it’s just her. “And I keep getting this name. Which means you’re always thinking about him. And I find that I don’t really like that.” He said.Wait, he can hear thoughts? “You can hear everyone’s thoughts?”“Bits and pieces. Words. Sometimes images. Not your whole mind.” He paused. “Now, tell me. Who is he?”Estellle swallowed. She had been fine with bringing up her old pack but Tyler? That’s a whole other thing about her past that she doesn’t want to talk about. “I can’t tell you.” She said in a small voice.Moore frowned, not liking her answer. His mate is thinking about another g

Chapter 8
The following day, Miranda showed Estelle around the territory. It was like a small town hidden inside the forest. Individual houses, family owned stalls, two small cafes, the medical hall, and a two story education center were built all around the land. A huge empty field is used for their training and exercise, the equipment at a corner. As they passed one of the cafes, they were joined by Gerald. He wore a dark brown leather vest with bow in his hand and arrows strapped to his back. He greeted them enthusiastically and asked Estelle how she was doing. “I’m doing fine, surprisingly. Everyone here is so welcoming.” She replied with a warm smile. “Good to hear that. You’ll soon learn that we’re all family here.” He grinned, placing an arm over her shoulder. She smiled at that. She noticed that fact with how everyone treats each other so comfortably. “Oh, why do you have a bow with you?” “He just ended his daily practice routine. Everyone has one.” Miranda answered for Gerald. “R

Moore chuckled to himself. He was working in his office when a flash of Estelle’s thoughts passed in his mind. They are still new to each other so he hasn't learnt to block out her mind from his. Hearing what she thought of him, he went up to check on her. Her reaction was very adorable and it pleased him that he affects her just like she does him. Although all these feelings are new to him and after believing that he was destined to live his long years alone, he is willing to adjust and take things as they come. This is a female, after all, not a conflict he could easily resolve. The fact that she too, is new to this eases him. It means they’ll be able to make mistakes and learn together. There is that one problem he needs more details on though. That bastard wolfling who hurt his female? He needs to know more about that wolfling and he plans to get it from Estelle, slowly, or himself. Anyone who hurts what he considers his will get their retribution. Lots of individuals who harmed h

Estelle flipped open the hardcover of the book. Some dust flew around her from the disturbed pages and she waved them off with her hands. Reading through the table of contents, she zeroed in on the Were History and flipped to the page. Getting comfortable in her seat, she began reading,“Back when only the creations of the other Gods roamed the earth, the Goddess decided to create six Weres, they were called The Firsts. The Goddess blessed each of them with their own ability, so they can stand on their own against the other species; Andreas, who was the finest warrior ever recorded in the supernatural world. Alexios, whose line made the best guards and keepers. Adelphos the kind-hearted, has loyalty the world hardly ever sees. Alkaios, with his unparalleled strength, made males turn green from envy. Angelos, the ever loving, often made contacts with his creator and lastly, the cold Atreus who feared nothing. Some say he was neon with no emotions. All those born of these Weres inherit
