Taming the Fire Dragon
I can feel the grass, rocks, twigs, sand, everything that is lying on the ground as we fly over it.
‘Now, try to pick up a rock,’ he says.
‘How?’ I ask.
‘How do you conjure your fire?’
‘I feel it.’
‘Feel the rock as we glide over it and pick it up,’ he says.
In the shadow, he takes my hand and focuses on a rock in front of us. As we pass it, I feel him close our fingers around it.
‘Did you feel that?’ he asks.
‘Yes!’ I say, getting excited.
