“Then die you shall.”
He raised his hand, and the artifact pulsed with a blinding light. The air in the chamber grew heavy, the energy suffocating.
“Aria, now!” Killian shouted.
Aria didn’t hesitate. She unleashed a torrent of silver magic, aiming directly at the artifact’s core. The runes on its surface flared in response, absorbing the attack with an unholy screech.
“It’s shielded,” she gasped.
Killian sprinted toward the base of the artifact, his claws extended. “Then we take out the wards first!”
