Leah folded her arms. “I think he likes you.”
“I think you need glasses.”
“I have perfect vision.”
“I am not having an office romance.”
“Why not?”
“Because I enjoy paying my bills.”
By the time we finished arguing, lunch had turned into popcorn, spicy chicken drumsticks, and two oversized bowls of ice cream balanced on the coffee table while an old romantic comedy played on the TV.
Halfway through the movie, my phone buzzed. I glanced at it and groaned loud enough for Leah to pause the film.
