Rohan forcefully shoved Aryan’s brutally bruised back. The broken man violently collapsed directly onto his bleeding, violently shivering knees. The freezing gravel buried deep in the mud aggressively sliced into his already ruined skin. He stared blindly at the massive steel bowls. The terrifying, deafening barking of the dogs, standing just inches away behind the thin wire fence, violently shook his entire skeletal frame.

No one POV . A red signal brought their car to a halt. Their car was the first one on the lane. Arbaaz looked out the window and saw a woman playing with the street dogs. She had long hair and fine height. The dogs seemed to really like her. Even, he was fond of dogs, and he, himself had 4 German shepherds, kids of Rocky (could read about this Dog in detail in my Book 2). He never knew that a woman was playing with dogs. All the women he knew are afraid of them at first until and unless they are their pets.

They howled and barked until some humans arrived, and they led them to the injured man. The humans were shocked to see a pack of wolves, and they were even more shocked to see one of their own injured. They quickly took the man away to get him medical attention. Jack and Sarah watched as the humans left, feeling a sense of unease. They knew that they had just faced a new challenge, and they didn't know what the future would hold.

“And one day, while I was in one of my fake disguises,a barista at a café, you walked in. I noticed the awkward energy around you and how tired you looked, yet you gave your turn in the queue to two older women. You stood there like your mind wasn’t even with you. You took your order and left. ‘What a weird girl,’ I said to myself. A few weeks later, that same human girl from the coffee shop was in my territory, at the pack doctor’s house? I was more than shocked. That was when I picked your scent. It was the same as when I first met you. But when we met again at school, you scented differently. I’m a master of disguise. That was how I realized,you’re a human among wolves.”

It would all be over soon. Then, as her vision began to fade, she heard some horrible growling from all around her . . . from the back towards the alley and from the direction of the street. She saw her attacker . . . saw him staring first in one direction and then another. He snarled and tried to locate his dropped weapon. Then a . . . dog . . . jumped on him from out of nowhere, but it was bigger than any dog Jane had ever seen. And it seemed strange. . . bipedal. Then a second such animal impacted Jane's attacker, and she heard the man in the suit begin to scream. She saw two more such animals rush past her and head towards the alley. (Lexi’s POV) I’m going to die! I’m going to die! My heart was screaming and crying in panic, but before I found myself getting mauled by dogs, Finn put a whistle to his mouth. “Whooee-uueet!” The dogs halted abruptly, hearing probably a familiar whistle sound from their owner. My eyes widened at the different breeds of dogs, but half of their numbers were Golden Retriever and Labrador. For a dog lover, they were adorable, sitting on the ground, looking like they were smiling while panting and waiting for a treat from their owner.

Cayden answered. Max muttered in his mind. "We are following." Cayden's wolf noticed the recent arrivals—guard dogs sprinting in his direction. Rottweilers. He shifted and let his wolf greet them by growling and baring his teeth. Once the dogs realised they had encountered a larger predator, they stopped in their tracks. Their trained senses were overwhelmed by Cayden's alpha wolf. Some packs also kept guard dogs to discourage human intruders. But the dogs recognised a superior alpha and retrained. Cayden strode forwards, and the dogs tilted their heads to reveal their necks and backed away.
