“It's just a trip to the mountains. Nyctimus will give you the location of the tree. Retrieve the dagger, figure out who the gatekeeper is, and we're golden.” That was easy for him to say. Little did he know it wasn’t the quest Ashe was sending me on that had me bothered. I was aware that I had roughly five minutes till they started wondering where their companion was so I needed to be quick. I slunk my way around the corner of the the house using a rose bush as cover and saw another hunter. They were pacing back and forth military style. I waited till they came to my end just by the rose bush and when they weren't looking poked them gently with my dagger on their wrist. I was careful to pull it back and quietly hide.

He seems way too content with dating different girls all the time. "Are you even listening to me, Tate?" He asks as we approach the drive to my house. It's an imposing house with a grand sweeping set of stone steps leading up to the front door where two large terracota urns sit outside. Don't ask what they are, I have no idea about plants. But it is a passion of mom's and when she isn't at some society dinner, charity event with dad, opening of a museum or whatever else she does. I turned and saw two cleaners standing near the hedge, arms crossed. “I swear these people forget where they’re from the second they taste money.” “Wasn’t she cleaning with us last month? Now she’s playing wife?” My mouth opened. “No, it wasn’t intentional…” “Why are you even out here pretending to help?” the gardener snapped. “If you’re going to break everything”

She said sharply. "Nicholas. What's yours?" The guy mumbled, walking towards the bed. "Tyler." Gianna quickly said as she shifted uncomfortably on the bed. "Okay. You are the new gardener that replaced the dead man?" The guy asked as she carelessly sat beside Gianna and mistakenly brushed her lap with his finger. Gianna shifted again but her attention was caught by what Nicholas was saying. "What dead man?" "The dead gardener. Was murdered mysteriously." Nicholas mumbled, suddenly looking very serious.

Her growl echoed through the trees and her eyes glowed brilliant green. As Kathleen thrust the knife down, Emory shifted into full wolf and slipped through her legs. With extraordinary speed, Emory shifted back to Hunter, digging her fangs into Kathleen’s throat as she turned. Kathleen tried to thrust the dagger into her back, but she parried it with one flick of her wrist.

The kitchen erupted with laughter as the maids playfully teased her about her sweet tooth. Outside, the garden was being transformed into a magical wonderland. Gardeners meticulously pruned the bushes into whimsical shapes, creating an enchanting atmosphere. They adorned the trees with twinkling fairy lights and hung delicate paper lanterns that swayed gently in the evening breeze. One gardener, named Thomas, couldn't resist testing the strength of a branch adorned with flowers. With a misstep, he found himself covered in a shower of petals, much to the amusement of his fellow workers.
