It was humanoid in shape, but its limbs were disproportionate and like no human that he had ever seen. And humans didn't have horns jutting from their heads. The creature paused, and Harrison felt unseen eyes on him. A freezing chill stilled the pulse in his chest, and all warmth drained away from him. "If there was another way to sate your bloodlust, I wish you would reveal it," Harrison whispered, his voice carrying on the breeze towards the form.

Xander opened his window and looked into the eye scanner, which automatically opened the gate. The car drove into the house, stopping to scan his eyes from time to time until they reached the underground parking lot.
