Her HUD threw a warning—*COUPLED NODE DETECTED*—then glitched it out as Aria smacked a software pillow over the notification. “Don’t look,” Aria hissed. “You know what he looks like. You’ve seen him in the rain. You’ve seen him in your nightmares. You do not need an updated visual in high‑definition right now.” Lys didn’t move.

I thought as I rubbed my chin. “Uh, will it hurt?” Peering at me, his lip curled slightly as he shook his head. “Not the initial bite but your body will reform itself. Thomas would keep your pain to a minimum and I would be at your side for your first shift,” he said compassionately. “We would become a powerful couple, since female hybrids are rare,” he added with a wink. Emptying my wine flute, I wiggled it before him and asked for a refill. “I'm going to have to be hammered if I do this,” I muttered, causing him to pause mid-pour.

Shifters can be Wolf, Dragon, Pixie, Fae, Fairy, Bear, Lion, Tiger, Jaguar, Swan, Eagle, Hawk, Leopard, Gryffin, Unicorn, Centar, Goose, Lycan, Fox, Coyote, etcetera. For example my mom is a Witch but she is also a Wolf shifter, and my dad is a Dragon shifter. So for myself, I have both the genes of Dragon and Wolf shifter in my DNA and I might get the dragon side, but I might not

With her situation, she was better off not being a werewolf than being a disabled one. It was because of this that she misunderstood that Riella was mocking her. Truthfully, although she might appear unbothered, it didn't mean that she liked people talking against her. Aria's wolf wasn't something to write home about.
