Selene said, I kissed her to shut her up; the second I pulled away, I grabbed her face and smiled, “That was incredible!” I told her, “You really are a powerful witch.” Amber said, “A powerful witch with little control.” Grandfather told her, I stared at him for a moment, “What do you mean?” I asked, he sat us all down as he began to explain, “A half blood witch isn’t too powerful, but still enough to be a little scared of. A full blooded witch, if terrifying and is definitely someone to fear. But a hybrid,” he looked at Selene, “There’s never been a hybrid witch of all three: a werewolf, a vampire, and a witch. Not to mention having witches in both bloodlines.”

"We don't know anything with complete confidence right now. Keep reading. I'm sure we'll find something." Elena rolled her eyes but grabbed another book. This one was full of discussions on hybrids. It wasn't clear what this term meant, but it felt familiar to her. She herself would likely be classified as a hybrid, being born under two moons. Unfortunately, the book was severely damaged, like many of the others. Pages were missing right when the important parts came up. Disgusted, she pushed it aside and grabbed the next one.

Frowning, I use my app again and wonder why it was hidden away at the back of the book when my eyes widen at what it translates to: Hybrid.

- Jason let me think about it, you are welcome, come, you are staying here today- she says as Jason stares at me waiting for an answer. - No need ma'am, a hybrid is banished as they are described as a mistake of nature, they feel threatened- I notice how the Alpha's jaw tenses. - We know you are a hybrid, and you will not be banished or imprisoned- he explains. -I will think about it- is the only thing I answer, the woman smiles and approaches me with Annabeth. - I'll show you your room, let's go- she smiles and we leave the room and then start

It was in that, with the turn of pages of a book, I could lose myself between the pages and forget, even if just for a moment, the complex web of my life. Today opened like each of the rest days: the house was quiet, and I was looking for another book to pass the time with. I ran my fingers along the spines of all the books on the shelves, and one leather-bound volume seemed out of place. I pulled it out; it was a book about hybrids. Its spine was cracked and its pages were frayed from having been read so many times before. I went to the table of contents, and my eyes grew wide with chapters entitled, "History of Hybrids," "Powers and Abilities," and "Notable Hybrids in History."

I shouted to myself, and with a tired sigh, I grabbed one of the Hybrid books and sat down. I flipped the pages open and began reading, pushing all thoughts of Zane, the Pack, and my insecurities out of my head. This wasn’t the time to think of that stuff; I needed to read and understand what was going on so I could figure out what to do. Focused, I began reading and flipping through pages. The information wasn’t easy to take in. Most of the Hybrid species had been wiped out a long time ago, and the few ones that were left were being hunted, captured, and then…killed.
