I shook my head. "But to me, you're no longer as important as before."
Philip froze, turning so pale he looked almost ghost-like.
I gazed at him and continued calmly, "Philip, I'm not trying to punish you or make you suffer. I've just moved on. I'm living a good life now, and I have no desire to return to the past."
Philip swallowed. His tears grew in volume. "But I can't move on."
