Zheira put her hand on the lower region of her stomach and stared at the curving point of the high-arching ceiling. After her phone slammed on the wall, she had no courage of picking it up. She wished that what she’d seen was a figment of her wild imagination, but a part of her kept whispering that all of it was true, that these suicide cases were really a product of the rising Vampires. It’s almost laughable, her thoughts, but it provided answers that, though she didn’t understand, gave her a preliminary idea of her fate.

Chapter 27. *.* She could still see the short thickset man, slowly walking in the direction. While the zombies were busy with what they were doing without taking interest in what that does not concern them. She threw the bone at a dark spot, opposite where he was walking to and quickly went back to the hiding. The bone hit a rodent that was eating something on the dirty ground, it squeaked and ran under the legs of the zombies and ran past the short thickset man, climbing on Igor and going out of sight.

I sighed wishing they would hurry up and let us board. The flight home wasn't bad, the first class section hardly had anyone in it. I read most of the way home to keep my mind off of Seth and on the Zombie apocalypse. I was obsessed with anything Zombie related. This particular book followed a girl who had been separated from her group and was trying to make her way back. It was actually really good and made the flight go by.

I sat on my bed and leaned on the headboard before taking a deep breath. I wasn’t being delusional. I saw it, I saw that his eyes turned red for a second. I just shook my head and tried to get it out of my head. I got the book that I borrowed from the library. I remembered that this book was from Zion, the one he said I’ll like. The main character was a female vampire who had just gotten off of her transition. I’ve read some pages and I stopped when I realized something. Some of the information was familiar to me. I went back to the other pages to read it again.

CHAPTER 123 A LIVING ZOMBIE ISABELLA I lay curled on my bed, still in yesterday's clothes, still staring at the same crack in the ceiling. Last night, I had walked out of the living room like a zombie. The headline was burned into my eyes. The newscaster's voice echoed in my ears. Camille had stood frozen by the couch, her face white, her hands shaking. Julien had reached for me, said something I didn't hear. I hadn't responded. I had just walked. Up the stairs. Down the hallway. Into my room. I had closed the door and stood there in the dark, trying to understand how the world had flipped upside down in the space of a single news segment.

Screams tore through the B2 level. Martha and I bolted for the stairs. Marcus stumbled behind. The smell of blood hit us like a wall. In the makeshift chapel, Sister Catherine was on her knees before the cross. A bloody hole gaped in her neck. A zombie was hunched over her, greedily tearing at her flesh. It had crawled in through an air vent. “Oh God…” Marcus retched. I grabbed a nearby iron chalice and slammed it into the zombie’s head.

The beginning of my return to the world. Not as Aurelia Veythorne, the rejected daughter. As Luna, the Silver Ghost. "Ready?" Zane asked. I thought about Darian's cruel words.
