I exclaimed angrily. “Calm down…” he interrupted. “He does the same for his murders.” I felt like I had just been slapped by the invisible hands of shock. I could swear I felt that physically. “You mean he takes the personal belongings of people he has killed?” I asked. “That sounds like something only a psychopath would do. What is he? A serial killer?” “No,” he shook his head as he replied. “He doesn't take personal belongings. He takes videos of how he watches them die while he laughs.”

"They won't. I already warned them." "Do you really think they'll listen to you?" "Well I mea-" "It's fine. I can handle them. But you have to tell me," "Yea?" "Why don't you want to join?" "Well, I'm a serial killer. Why would a killer want to be good?" "No, not just that. There's something you're not telling me." "I.." "Say. Or i can agree with them and you'll be working for them." "You're willing?" "It's nothing serious if i join them or not. I'm just an assassin who kills from behind no matter who my target is for my client. Working for them is alright."

Woman were screaming and children. "Don't kill them , just look for anyone who looks like a threat." He didn't like to kill woman. He didn't like killing children nor seeing them hurt.

" He asked making me shocked. "That can't be true. If it is, how did you know"? I asked with utmost surprise. "One day at a time, Maya. There's so much you don't know about me." So much? What did he mean by that? "I don't mean to scare you, he said looking at my confused face. I am not a serial killer and neither am I rapist, drug dealer or any bad thing on your mind. The things I know, are based on my experiences," he ended with a sigh.

"Even when victims are kids, he just... switches off." "Honestly, it's creepy." Someone lowered his voice. "I've always thought Adler has sociopath tendencies." The room fell quiet for a second. Then someone chuckled. "Makes him a good detective though." I stood outside the door, listening, not angry, not surprised, I'd heard worse. People always mistook control for the absence of feeling. The truth was much simpler. If I allowed myself to feel everything this job demanded… I'm not sure I would survive it. I walked in. The conversation died instantly.

I did not manage to continue to speak again when she started to talk. “Answer my question!” She screamed. “Why do you want to kill our classmate?” She asked me. “He is not our classmate,” I answered her, “He is a detective. He is investigating what happened to my brother,” I added. “Then, why do you want to murder him?” She asked again to me. So, I bent my head down. I don’t want her to learn the truth because I love her. A minute later, she took a deep breath. Then, she started to talk. “Did you kill Nate?” She asked. So, I held her hand more firmly.

I turned off the water and I sat there not doing anything but allowing the heat of the water pleasure my cold body. I began to wash my body and wash and wash till I got tired of washing. I still hear them; I still see blood. But I kill bad people. I can't be weak. I kill bad people. I am a killer!! I got out and got ready for bed but then I remembered me wanting to take ice cream so I walked out of my room to get it. The kitchen was empty and so was the living room. I took the bowl of ice cream, vanilla flavour and sat on the table in the middle of the kitchen and took the ice cream.

As usual, my place was the go-to, only this time Axel didn’t sprawl himself out on my bed like normal, he remained standing even when I sat down. “Okay.” He says suddenly, “Okay…” He repeats. Pacing, I begin to think that he might be having a panic attack, so I watch him carefully. “We need to think. Cause you know, I didn’t actually put much thought into how deadly a serial killer is.” My brow furrows as I think about his sentence, “I’m not sure what you mean.”

Because when I try to hide how I feel, I get hurt even more. "Don't divert the topic, Aurora. I know that's you. I thought you're a human but how the hell could you do that? A normal human can kill a strongest guardian here in Chicago? Unbelievable!" she was still chattering. She is the more unbelievable than me. Is their a friend that could make her friend left in the peak of death?
