Just cold ground, blood everywhere, and my sister Lilith staring down at me like I’d spilled juice on her favorite shoes. “Should’ve stayed in your place, Aria,” she’d said, voice sweet enough to rot. Then darkness swallowed me whole. No angels. No afterlife. Just… nothing. A cold, endless nothing.

All of them come together to be with you in your final seconds but as I sit here in this warehouse looking through the barrel of my own gun, my mind is completely empty. There is no flashback, no replays, just nothingness. I had always felt that there would be more, in fact I had come to expect it over the years but apparently the final moments of death have been greatly exaggerated.

My head swam, all dizzy and hot. The scent of iron filled the air. I looked down. The floor was smeared dark beneath me. My handprint glistened where I’d tried to push myself up. It should’ve hurt more. It didn’t. I chuckled weakly. "The one time I die, there's no one around to see it." Was this what peace felt like?

Ethan's POV I don’t remember the moment I died. There was no scream, no final heartbeat, no tunnel of light like the stories say. There was only stillness. And then… emptiness. Not nothingness.
