Novel & Cerita I Had Read The Book

I smiled and brought out a new novel I got from the store the other day and opened the first chapter to read. There are like ten minutes before assembly starts so I can read at least a chapter or two before it starts. ‘Hmm… interesting’ i thought to myself. “Why didn't I know about this book already?” I muttered under my breath and turned to the next page. “Very interesting.” “I know it is,” I turned my head to see Chris put his bag on the desk beside me and sat down on the chair. “Even though I haven't read it, I know it is interesting”

I still didn't know where to put my arms and I held them locked against my body for a long while, until they started to get stiff. About half an hour into our journey, I grabbed my book that I put under my jacket earlier and opened the first page. I had seen the movie Pride and Prejudice countless times and the familiar names put a smile to my face. This was the first time I read the book, so I shut the world around me out and started my mental journey.

Maybe the writer had in mind to deviate the readers’ thoughts about the book at first glance. I lazily stretched my hand to pick the book, finally recalling, when I opened the first page, that it was literally the book I had been searching for. How did I not realize it was actually the last book I have read so far? I flipped through the pages, searching the actual chapter I read about poisons that I had once regarded as unreal.

My birth wasn't mentioned, the same as my death. When I was on the verge of giving up on reading, I took a last glance at the book and sighed. I closed the book, stood up, and got ready to sleep. Then, the book opened itself. It was a moment of 'didn't I close this book?' I paced around at short distances, took note of the page and closed it again. I glared at the book till I was on my bed and the book never opened - maybe it is my illusion.

"There is no if. I'll be back." "There's something you ought to know about me, in case you haven't guessed." "Let me guess. You wrote the book I've been reading." I nodded. "Let me tell you something I lied about earlier. I wasn't on my way to Lake Arrowhead. I was on my way here to meet you. The book I pulled off the shelf I ordered from A****n last Thursday. I read an article of yours on a blog and it said you lived up here."

As I stepped down from the Bed and opted to read a book, I began to wonder where I had heard the stranger's voice before. *****************

So, in a desperate attempt to change the topic, I looked away, and cleared my throat, looking anywhere but him. I saw him smile from the corner of my eyes, but i could not be sure. Still, i kept looking elsewhere, until my gaze landed on something beside him, and my brows drew in, lips parted slightly. "You were reading that book?" I recognized it. How could I not? i had read it so many times it had started to become worn off. It was probably the only book I read here.

Henry's expression was earnest. "You probably assumed I was reading these novels because I had been dumped by my crush. And you are somewhat correct. But I never thought to be the key character in this book." Henry leafed through the book. "How come you weren't?" I was sceptical. What nonsense was he talking about now?
