"I hate you". Those were the only words that were constantly ringing in my head as I walked towards the café. My name is Rose and I've always been the pretty girl everyone wanted except this badass of a boy that does annoy me every time. I had promised myself that I wouldn't go back there, but here I was, standing outside the door. My heart was racing as I pushed it open and stepped inside. The smell of freshly brewed coffee hit my nose, and my eyes scanned the room, searching for the person I had been avoiding for the past few weeks.

I felt anger rise in my heart because he was entirely wrong, but because the word lover boy doesn't sit well with me. “Okay, let's do some surveys on your love life, shall we?” He asked and I rolled my eyes at him, “Don Harry, I do not have a love life” Why the hell is he so worked up about this nonsense love of a thing? “Okay” he shrugged, “But my questions are just simple. You can escape it if you want. It will only prove to me that, indeed, you're a lover boy”. “Fine! Ask your question!” Because Harry was a pest beside me, none of the suits happened to be catching my attention

All I want is to forget what happened and be happy, mother. Ijust gave in like a monkey. Looking back at how everything played out would I call that love for accepting his manipulation,??? No. I just felt I couldn't do better than harry because apparently almost everyone in school labelled me “weird” just because I didn't fit into their standards of being a typical high school student. Thinking back, I really wish I could have had the courage to give them a piece of my mind that they will probably remember for the rest of their lives. Nancy, she’s sarcastic, prickly and looks at me irritatingly like I’m the gum stuck to her shoe. But I find her interesting, to an extent. I love how she hates me, and I love how she knows that I love how she hates me. But I hate how audacious she is, how she tells me to shut up to my face. No sugarcoating, no fake smiles. This morning, she wore a coat that made her look like the dwarf from Game of Thrones. I don’t just get this girl. Sometimes, she's pretty dull; other times, she’s like the ‘terror’ in the popular line from GOT, ‘For the night

Even though I felt an undeniable connection with Caspian at that moment, I wouldn't jump to conclusions. “Well?” Hilary snapped her fingers in my face. “I—uh… it’s not what it looks like—” Hilary let out a sharp laugh, dragging a hand down her face. “Oh, I’m sorry, my eyes must be broken because it looks like you were devouring the man you claimed to hate.” “I do hate him!” I shot back quickly. “Right,” she clapped slowly, nodding. “And I hate money. We’re all liars today, apparently.”

His words felt like nails scratching in my head, increasing my irritation and anger both, “You are dumber than me. Do you really think that you can get to Alessio by harming me?” Harry shook his head with a wide grin, “No. He is going to lose his mate to a tragedy. Then maybe he will go mad. Maybe he will go in depression. Whatever the case will be, we will enjoy it and have fun.” “Oh my god…” I groaned, cringing, “seriously? Do you think this is some kind of TV drama where you can take over the reign of a nation by killing a girl that hero is paired with?” Harry narrowed his eyes. “You don’t need to be concerned about that.”

In their eyes, Harvey was no more than an idiot.

I wasn’t ready for another heartbreak, nor was I ready to face Harry again. My heart tightened, and my brow furrowed as a flicker of annoyance surged within me at the thought of Harry. How much I had grown to hate him. I never wanted to cross paths with him or have anything to do with him again. He was such an asshole, undeserving of anything good. He would surely die in regret.
