Fender Valentine’s Day was by far the worst day of the year. All those loved up couples. All that fake romance and phoney sentiments. What was worse was that more and more of the younger club members were pairing off, settling down. Making fucking fools of themselves over women and ruining their damn lives. My own son had started it by chasing after a woman he should have known to leave well enough alone. Sure Avery was the mother of his kid but what did that actually matter in this day and age?

It’s Valentine's Day and I feel miserable. Suddenly, an idea forms in my head. Quickly, I get up and put on a beautiful red dress. Then I brush my hair, dab on some makeup and put on my huge sunglasses that almost hide my face.

He didn’t seem to think there would be anything special about it other than the trail gets decorated for the holiday.” “Who knows?” Denise laughed. “Maybe you’ll both be shot in your unromantic asses by Cupid’s arrow. It’s Valentine’s Day, definitely a special and romantic day to go on a second date.” “Only I won’t go if you already have plans,” I pointed out. “It’s a history tour, so we could do it another time. The next day, Valentina's pov, I sat inside the bathroom staring at my cell phone's screen without blinking an eye. My heart was pounding non stop, as if it was trying to remind me that what I was seeing was not a lie but the truth. I still could not believe what I was seeing. Just because of what happened during me and Nathan's wedding ceremony, everyone hated me so much. Their hate had gotten so much worse. Though some people still supported me, the remaining people who hated me now have surpassed the ones who supported me.
