I Have A Cunning Plan Baldrick Novels & Stories

"Maybe. But good intentions do not undo betrayal." --- Far away, Aldric stood at his balcony overlooking his stronghold, the crimson moon painting his face in scarlet light. A messenger knelt before him. "It's done," the messenger said. "Ralph's betrayal has been exposed." Aldric smiled faintly. "Of course it has. Edwin needed to find the leak. It's part of the plan." The messenger looked confused. "My lord?" Aldric's voice was soft, like silk wrapping around a blade. "While he grieves the betrayal of a brother, his focus will falter. His judgment will blur. And when his rage blinds him, we strike."

“You told me you hadn’t fucked Io’s Alpha, and yet he all but declared you were his at the bonfire!” “I don’t know what game Alpha Thane is playing, but I’m just a pawn,” I confess, though I’m sure my words fall on deaf ears. “I’ve done nothing to deserve this much attention. But he seems hellbent on using me in his schemes.” “You really expect me to believe you don’t know what he’s planning?” Deadrick scoffs, turning on me with a furious scowl. “I heard all about your unwavering obedience at the river bank. For someone who doesn’t know anything, you’re playing your part beautifully.”

He looked weak like the other ones. "People don't see me for no reason" Grad snorted. "I want to steal something from some people. And I was told you are the right men for the job" Baldwin was not convinced that was true by what he was seeing. "You are in the right place. Where is this something and the people holding it?" Grad asked confidently. "They are in my facility. You should know the place already" Baldwin asserted He had come to hire some goons to steal the plague from Alpha Nolan and Mark. He couldn't trust Alpha Nolan. He would never make the mistake again.

Flee this place, escape this world of betrayal. I turned and ran without direction, but my distress caused me to stumble over exposed roots and fall heavily. Alex approached with concern etched on his features. "Jenna, are you injured? Tell me where it hurts." I silently pushed his hand away, lowering my head as tears fell without restraint. Carrick stepped forward, shoving Alex aside. "Contemptible Alpha! You disgrace our rank!" Alex appeared genuinely confused, glancing between the female beside him and his distraught Luna before sudden understanding dawned.

I patted Isreal’s shoulder and whispered, "Go get the council. I'll get the wolves that were in this planning and get a little security in the basement before Baldassarre runs." "All right." With a single phone call, my trustee wolves arrived at the house in less than an hour, including my Brother, Peace. Before I could welcome them all to this chaos, l injected a few more doses of aconitum into Baldassarre who had almost cracked the walls with his strength. The Martin I knew had a lot of power, more than anyone else and his anger was something no one wanted to deal with. Even I couldn't. In the silence of midnight, I sat inside my ruined room with a warm coffee in my hands and regretted eve

Surprised by that Nathan handed Aella back to me as he stammered, “Please take me to him. I haven't seen him in decades.” My mate informed me that he would return to bring us both to our chambers. Nodding I grinned slightly as they both left me. Sighing I noticed that my pup didn't want to feed anymore so I just held her in my arms while Ashina healed my lower parts. Not more than ten minutes later the door flew open and that bastard Balder stormed inside. “Get out!” I growled but he ignored me as his eyes grew large at Aella. “I told my grandson that the child would look like that. You are an excellent warlock, Lark Skinner,” He chuckled.

He is held down by no one, but he seems to be in immense pain, unable to get up. “ Plan failed, it seems Baldwin. ” Cain’s lips curl, but the gesture is anything but good. The red glow of Cain’s eyes scares me but the name of the person on his knees before him, startles me. Baldwin. Alpha Baldwin of Greenfield pack. I inhale sharply, feeling strange inside. “ Yo - You will pay- ” Alpha Baldwin tries to threaten Cain, but he doesn’t seem to be able to utter much. He moans in agony and the sound feels like music to my ears. The amusement and coldness and wildness inside me is not me. It can never be me who is enjoying this view too much.

"As you all know, it's been a hard couple of months. You all have been so loyal to me and I promise I will do everything in my power to make sure you all are taken care of. “Kammie did this and Lillie interrupted her session with Dorian. He is going to survive, we think.” “But she was a scribe?” “Her cover was a scribe.” Balder says as he blanches, and then he is running towards the packhouse, calling for warriors as he takes off with me hot on his heels. I mindlink Harriet the cliffsnotes version of what happened, and I want her and the kids to check in once in a while and stay together. She promises and orders me to be careful. Inside Balder bolts up the stairs, Lillie coming from the conference room on the ground floor, following him.
