My heartbeat quickened I was alone!

What am I supposed to do? I press my ear to his chest, desperate to hear something—anything. His fur is warm against my cheek, but I can't hear past the blood rushing in my own ears. Breathe. I need to breathe. I force myself to take a shaky breath, then another. And there—underneath my panic, underneath everything—I hear it. Faint. Irregular. But there. A heartbeat. "Okay," I whisper, trying to steady my shaking hands. "Okay, you're alive. You're alive."

Asher I woke up sweating profusely and my heart beating really hard and fast. I was so scared and it felt like I was having a heart attack. I wasn’t sick before going to bed but the dream I had was so scary and it just did a lot of things to my mental heart.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! But then...something happened. I heard something I never thought I would hear again... A heartbeat.

And at that exact moment something strange happened. The rhythm skipped slightly. Just once. Adrian felt it immediately. He narrowed his eyes. Then the heartbeat returned back to normal. Steady…perfect Adrian slowly placed his hand over his chest. A weird thought crossed his mind. Somewhere out there was a living life connected to this heart. And for some reason he felt that he was connected to that life. Anna waited at the examination room for the doctor. She placed her hand on her chest. The weird sound had not returned again.

I listened in the somewhat tense quietness, the heartbeat of people, the most overwhelming sound out of everything I could hear. My eyebrow furrowed as I realised something. The more I focused on the heartbeats, the clearer they became. But even amongst the five hearts that were beating with tension and adrenaline, there was a little heartbeat that stood out in my ears above all the rest. Fuck.

My heart keeps beeping in my ears. I can hear my sound. Woshh... The whole Thump Standing outside, my nose filled with a mesmerizing smell when I entered the room. The room smelled heavenly with her scent. She’s getting ready inside. Taking one step at a time, I entered the room. It’s neat, clean, and peaceful, not like my mind, which is already battling with my thoughts. Just the sound of her doing something had my heart pounding.

I heard the rhythm of my own heartbeat pounding against my skull. This changes everything.

"Mon Fleur," he breathed, "Can you hear it?” He asked and my frown depended even more. “Heartbeats.” He muttered softly, still pressing his ear to my stomach. Though the room reigned with silence, I could hear my heart pounding loudly. “It's faint,” There was a puzzled and amused look on his face. “But if you listen closer, you'll hear it. I can hear them. Heartbeats. Fuck!” He cursed breathlessly, lifting his head from my stomach.
