I Hope You Get This Message Novels & Stories

The message is typed in plain black text, centered on the page: "I'm Coming For You And Your Entire Family And This Time I'll Finish The Job."

I submit my application, and then I wait. Days pass, then weeks. Life continues in that dull, painful routine… until one morning, exactly a month later, I get the email. I almost don’t open it. My hands are shaking too much. But when I finally do… “Congratulations…” That’s all it takes. A breath I didn’t realize I was holding leaves me. I got it. I actually got it. For the first time in weeks… something inside me shifts…. something close to happiness. I feel hope….a small, fragile kind.

We’re on the brink of a major confrontation, and every decision counts. As I head back to my room, my phone buzzes with a new message. I glance at the screen and my blood runs cold. The message is brief, but its implications are chilling: ‘You think you’re prepared? We’re just getting started. You’ll learn the hard way what happens when you cross us.’ The message leaves me with a sinking feeling in my gut. The threat is clear, and the danger is closer than ever. I need to stay focused and ensure that we’re ready for whatever comes next.

Vittorio's phone pinged again. An email notification. He picked it up, his hand trembling. Sender: UNKNOWN. Subject: Your Debt. The message was one sentence: You've only just begun to pay.

I will pass. Barely a few minutes later, a message pops up on my phone screen. One line. Few words. “ Abort. They know.”

It was a text message that simply read: I did you a favor, I got rid of your problem now it's your turn. I will be in touch. -S

When I checked my phone, the caller dropped the call but left a message I didn't expect to receive today. 1 New Message From: Enzo Tomassini “Are you at school? Can we talk for a bit? I'm right outside, bellezza.” Received 12:13PM ◇

there was this certain heaviness in the air, “it is time.” My eyes clamped tight, I got up. Then my eyes came open and they fell on the blank screen of my phone. And I found myself hoping again. Even though all my hopes have been thoroughly bashed for the past week, I strongly hoped for a miracle. If my phone could light up because of a message notification from Alessandro Valante, everything will change. But, even after I stepped out of my room, the message never came. And I had no other choice but to face my cruel fate.

I should’ve told you sooner. My heart stutters. Told me what? Me: Told me what? The message is read, but he doesn’t reply. Three dots appear, then drop; the screen remains blank, and I curl up in bed, phone clutched in my hand, waiting.
