As our hands touched, I heard his heartbeat pounding in my ears. Thanks to the alcohol, my brain was feeling somewhat fuzzy. I looked up and met Frederick's gaze. "Frederick, why is your face so red? Are you allergic to the cold air? Also, you've never been the talkative type in the past. Today, you seem like a peacock, showing off all your achievements." Frederick wore a helpless expression. My gaze searches the small wall calendar inside my room and checks the date. I licked my lower lip when I saw that it was still almost haft of the year, two more months before my birthday.

I let out a giggle and spent the rest of the afternoon wishing the day away at the office.
