I tapped send and went offline immedlately before dropping my phone beside me and standing up. I don't like video calls. 'You don't like anything, Fay.' My subconscious snickered. I prefer voice calls even tho I don't like calls altogether, I'll happily put up with voice call than video calls. I don't know if it's just me. I headed to my room to look for a novel to read and stop my ever energetic mind from wandering in thoughts. Digging into my box of books, yes, I have a big box of novels cause I read to save myself from thinking to death.

Apart from the fact that she loves cooking, she's obsessed with reading novels as well. Kiera is a book lover, someone that could finish a whole book in a single day. She raised her head slowly, meeting my gaze with a graceful smile, “Yes, I am.” she replied curtly, returning back to the book.

Fashion has become some of a way for me to express myself and showcase my individuality. I’m a homebody, I like to be alone a lot, so I have a lot of alone hobbies balancing my love for fashion with moments of escapism. As an introvert, I like to spend my free time reading books, fiction mostly, romance, and thrillers are my favorite genre. Sometimes though I spend my time listening to music and unwinding with TV shows, particularly comedy. My top picks are Schitt's Creek and Derry Girls, both of which never fail to lift my spirits and provide a much-needed escape from reality.

Adrian explained flawlessly. “I see. There’re so many books…” I said admiringly. “I like reading although most of the books here are medical texts and business-related books. So, probably not that interesting for most people…” Adrian explained. “I think business is very interesting. I don’t know about the medical text, though,” I replied with a small laugh.

I needed to soothe and treat her so I could get some information about her brother once more. I faked a cough in the middle of her chugging an ice cream. "So, uhm. . . as I was asking earlier, do you also read fiction books?" Her face automatically lit up. "Of course, yes! I love fiction books, especially romance genre." I nodded. "Hmm, what about. . . uhm, Nicholas Sparks? You know that writer--" She suddenly stopped eating her ice cream as her eyes widened. "Oh my gosh! Yes! I love all of his books! I thanked God for him because he really makes good romance books."
